The ground floor of this charming holiday home is designed to be wheelchair accessible with wheelchair friendly kitchen equipment and bathroom facilities. This floor has a large living/kitchen area and a spacious double en-suite bedroom. From the living room and balcony there are wonderful views of Bloody Foreland and the islands of Inishbofin and Inishdooey. The lower ground floor has a very roomy twin bedroom with an adjacent bathroom.
McGinley's Barn is located 4 km from the village of Dunfanaghy. Dunfanaghy itself is one of Donegal’s most popular holiday destinations and features many fine restaurants and pubs. In addition there are a host of activities in the immediate Dunfanaghy area including horse riding, scuba-diving, surfing, golfing, fishing and hill walking.
McGinley's Barn holiday home is an ideal base to tour North Donegal. The rugged beauty of Horn Head is at your door step. A short drive will take you to a choice of fine sandy beaches - including Marble Hill Strand, Killahoey Strand and Tramore. A little further afield is the scenic Atlantic Drive, the enchanting Ards Forest Park and the wild beauty of Bloody Foreland.
From McGinley's Barn you can explore the unspoilt beauty of Donegal's Highlands. Within a half hour’s drive, you have two of Donegal's (and Ireland's) highest mountains - Muckish and Errigal. You also have the renowned Glenveigh National Park. The Dunlewey lakeside Centre provides an excellent day out for all the family.
Guests can enjoy a number of varied and exciting day trips including a boat trip to Tory Island and a visit to the ancient and historic city of Derry. For the golf enthusiast there is a number of fine links courses in the locality - including Dunfanaghy and the two famous championship courses at Rosapenna.
In addition to the hospitality on offer in its pubs, hotels and fine restaurants, the Horn Head / Dunfanaghy area is particularly well known for its landscape, attracting birdwatchers, photographers and artists alike. The area is also renowned for its fishing, and three natural brown trout lakes can be found within 15 minutes of the “Barn”, as well as a wide variety of sea angling opportunities. A wide variety of walks - from an easy beach stroll to more challenging walks on Horn Head - are also on your doorstep.

The stylish kitchen area of McGinleys Barn has been designed to assist people with disabilities - including a sideways opening oven door, a pull-out chopping board/work area and a large sink with ample space underneath. The kitchen area has a slate floor and it has the following facilities:-
The living area in McGinleys Barn has wonderful sea views. The door leads out to a small balcony where a truly superb view of Horn Head can be enjoyed. For your enjoyment there is a TV, Video and DVD Player together with a selection of books and videos. All pictures on the walls are of local scenes. The floor is wooden and there is a wood burning stove which gives a cosy feel to the room.
The main bedroom of McGinleys Barn is located on the ground floor. The room is spacious and features a large wheelchair friendly wardrobe. Likewise the en-suite bathroom has a wheelchair accessible shower and toilet. On the lower ground floor there is a very roomy twin bedroom with an adjacent bathroom.
