The Moor Cottages are two superb self catering holiday homes that are located on a hillside 2km from the picturesque village of Rathmullan. Form their elevated site the cottages enjoy spectacular views of Lough Swilly and the Inishowen Hills.  Both cottages are furnished, equipped and decorated to the very highest standards to enable you to enjoy a truly relaxing holiday.

Each cottage has 4 bedrooms – an ensuite downstairs bedroom and 3 upstairs bedrooms with a separate bathroom. All bedrooms have amazing views. The ground floor of each cottage is wheelchair friendly – including a walk in shower in the downstairs bedroom. The open plan living area is wonderfully bright and spacious and again features fantastic views.

The cottages are ideally placed to enable the visitor to explore the beautiful and varied landscapes of North West Donegal. The popular holiday village of Rathmullan with its superb beach is a short drive – or leisurely walk -  away. Here you will find a selection of good pubs and restaurants – including the award winning restaurant in the Rathmullan House Hotel.

In addition Rathmullan has an equestrian centre and two modern sea charter boats for sightseeing or deep sea angling on Lough Swilly.  The small marina at the pier is a hive of activity in the summer months. The beautiful tree lined beach extends for over 2 km and is safe for bathing. Rathmullan is also steeped in history – the local Heritage Centre is based on The Flight of the Earls. The 400th anniversary of this famous event will be celebrated in 2007 with Rathmullan at the centre of the commemorations.

The new Rathmullan to Buncrana car ferry runs during the summer months and brings the majestic Inishowen Peninsula within easy reach of the holiday cottages. Even closer is the beautiful Fanad Peninsula with its rugged coastline and numerous sandy beaches.

For the golf enthusiast the cottages are centrally located to play the great links courses of North Donegal. Portsalon Golf Club is 20 minutes along the breathtaking Knockalla coast road while the two championship courses at Rosapenna are just half an hours drive away. The car ferry brings the two superb courses at Ballyliffin within a 50 minutes journey from the cottages.

The magnificent Glenveagh National Park, the enchanting Ards Forest Park, the scenic Atlantic Drive  and the ancient and historic walled city of Derry are all within an hours drive of the cottages.

We specialise in organising shooting and stalking holidays for up to ten guns, quarry includes driven pheasant, partridge, duck - also woodcock, snipe, hares and rabbits. Stalking for Red and Sitka deer, stags and hinds. We can arrange w/ends weeks or mid week packages.
