Moss Cottage - Culdaff

Moss Cottage is a beautiful secluded cottage located just over a 5 minutes drive from Culdaff town and beach. Culdaffs superb Blue Flag beach has become increasingly popular for surfing in recent years. The local pier is the base for 2 fully licensed charter boats that provide deep sea angling trips in Lough Foyle and out into the Atlantic Ocean beyond Malin Head.

McGrorys of Culdaff is is renowned all over Ireland for amazing live music and great food all the time. For the  keen golfer Moss Cottage is centrally placed to play a number of Inishowen's golf courses - it is 22 km from Balliffin links golf course, 16 km to Redcastle Golf Club (9 hole) and 15 km to Greencastle Golf Course (18 hole)

The Inishowen Peninsula

Moss Cottage is located on the Inishowen Peninsula. This beautiful peninsula separates Lough Foyle from Lough Swilly and its landscape is dotted with numerous lakes and mountains. The countryside of purple heather, small patchwork fields, streams and glens is superb terrain for the enthusiastic walker.

• Go sea angling from Culdaff  - the Inishowen Boating Company operates 2 purpose built and fully licensed charter boats from Bunagee Pier Culdaff
• Enjoy beautiful unspoilt beaches on the Inishowen Peninsula – Culdaff,  Five Finger Strand near Malin and Shrove. Culdaff blue flag is becoming an increasingly popular surfing beach
• Enjoy a meal at Mc Grory’s of Culdaff. This renowned establishment features an award wining restaurant, traditional bar with regular Irish Music Sessions and the  famous Backroom - one of Ireland's leading live music venues
• Take a trip around the famous Inishowen 100 This is one of Ireland's most scenic drives. The route includes dramatic coastal scenery plus a fine collection of ancient forts and monuments, traditional craft centres, and a dozen or so friendly villages. Scenic highlights include the Gap of Mamore, and Malin Head -  Ireland's most northerly point
• Visit the Doagh Visitor Centre. This centre provides a great variety of exhibitions telling the story of the Irish Famine. It is also a place where the local customs, traditions, folklore and history of the Inishowen Peninsula are preserved in a permanent way
• Visit the Inishowen Maritime Museum in Greencastle, which includes a state-of-the-art planetarium
• Use the car ferry at Greencastle to explore the northern coasts of Derry and Antrim - including the Giants Causeway and Bushmills
• Play golf on the internationally renowned Ballyliffin Golf Club - 22 km from the holiday home. Greencastle Golf Club is just 15km away.
• Visit the Fort and Military Museum at Dunree.

The holiday home has a large and bright kitchen with dining area which enjoys lovely countryside views. Kitchen appliances available include electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and freezer. There is also a dining table with 6 chairs and a comfortable sofa.

The living room is comfortably furnished and has an open fireplace - coal and sticks are supplied for the fire. For home entertainment there is a tv, dvd player and cd stereo. A large dvd and video library is available.
