
Mountview is located at Dunaff on the western side of the Inishowen peninsula a few miles outside Clonmany. It is surrounded by spectacular scenery and is the ideal base for a hillwalking holiday - a new looped walkway has just been opened on the hillsides above Leenan Bay. This is an extra spacious property with 5 bedrooms and is fully equipped to ensure you have a comfortable self catering holiday.
Dunaff is a small village and the nearest larger town is Clonmany. Spoil yourself with a swim along Lenan Beach, a walk on the cliffs at Dunaff Head or a visit to the waterfall at Glenevin where the river tumbles 30 feet over a pitch black rockface into a foaming pool. The Gap of Mamore, five miles north of Buncrana passes between Mamore Hill and Urris at 800ft. above sea level. This is a favourite spot for tourist and local alike with its spectacular views of the Inishowen peninsula and beyond to the broad sweep of the Atlantic Ocean. The ruins of Leenan Fort can be seen at the bottom of the Gap.
Clonmany is a village in north-west Inishowen, in Co. Donegal, Ireland. The name of the town in Irish - "Cluain Maine" is translated as "The Meadow of the Monks". The area has many natural points of interest and the Ballyliffin area is famous for its golf course. The Urris area to the west of the village was the last stronghold of the Irish language in Inishowen. In the last century, the north Inishowen area was renowned as a location of poitín distillation.
Clonmany's has three annual festivals. Clonmany Festival, attracts the young and not so young with its fun filled week long events. The McGlinchey Summer School looks at the history of the North West and The Inishowen Singing Circle is an concentrated weekend of traditional music and seminars. All three festivals generate and maintain a vibrant community spirit and are visited by people from all corners of the globe, returning emigrants and tourists alike. The Gap of Mamore in the Urris Hills takes the adventurous rambler on a long, winding path to spectacular panoramic viewpoints which encompass views of the Inishowen peninsula, the Atlantic Ocean, Lough Swilly and the neighbouring Fanad peninsula.

This site is a dream to use; it has everything in place in a way that is easy to find.
