Nestled against the slopes of Binnion Hill, this well appointed, large 6 bedroom home provides the ideal location for large families or groups wishing to visit Ballyliffin. Spectacular panoramic views are afforded from all directions, especially over Pollan Bay, the golf course, Trawbreaga Bay and the surrounding hills.
A large L shaped deck positioned to the rear and side of the house allows one to take in the breathtaking views afforded from this spectacular location.
Watching the ever changing moods of the weather, casting a different light over land and sea. From a dull grey to a shimmering, sparkling turquoise sea, or subtly changing browns, yellows and greens on the land, one cannot tire from this unique view.
While enjoying a glass of Chardonnay, one can with binoculars watch the golfers at their activities on the links of the Ballyliffin Golf Club, - or, if you are not already playing the course ... don your hiking boots, cross the road in front of the house, and have a go at climbing Binion Hill, just in front.
Also from the deck, one can observe the old observation tower atop Banbas Crown marking Irelands most northerly point at Malin Head. Over to the right, Trawbreaga Bay, where the rise and fall of the tides is clearly visible, as the bay appears completely drained at low tide.
Just behind the golf course, on the Isle of Doagh, one can take a 15 minute drive, and visit the increasingly popular Famine Village, an outside permanent exhibition of displays telling the story of Ireland during the great famine of the 1840s. At different times of the year, the centre transforms, - a music and dance venue in July and August, or Santas Village in December.
Should you wish to attend these events, early booking is essential to ensure that you do not have to travel from far to attend.
In Ballyliffin itself, there are five hotels and more pubs and restaurants, including the facilities at the Golf Club to avail of. Further away, but not more than a half hour drive, the towns of Carndonagh, Clonmany, Malin and Culdaff.
Of note, Culdaff has McGrorys Pub and restaurant and the famous BackRoom bar, a music venue which has had star performers from all over the world. - They also serve great food.
The fully fitted kitchen and dining area, has a large gas hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher, large separate fridge and freezer, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery, etc. A separate utility room has the washing machine and tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. And a toilet and wash basin are also connected to the utility room. To the rear of the kitchen, patio doors lead onto an L shaped decked area around the back and side of the house.
Magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding area are visible from here, including the sea and Pollan beach, the Golf Course, and Trawbreaga Bay.
A traditionally styled lounge, with cast iron open fireplace, comfortable leather bound seating and fabulous sea views from the window.
Entertainment is provided by a wide screen TV equipped with video-DVD
There are six bedrooms to sleep 8 adults 2 children
The main bathroom is sumptuously tiled with ceramics in a Graeco-Roman ambience, includes toilet, wash basin and a bath fitted with hydro jets for relaxing comfort.
There are 2 en-suites, each having a shower, toilet and washbasin.

First can I just echo the comments that have been made about your site? It is by far the best site for cottages that I have stumbled accross! Great pictures, clear descriptions, good search facilities, etc.
