Mulroy View is a newly built 4 bedroom holiday home with a stunning location near the village of Carrigart in North Donegal. From its elevated site the holiday home enjoys panoramic views over Mulroy Bay towards the hills of the Fanad Peninsula. The dramatic Mulroy Bridge is visible from the house – a bridge that makes Mulroy View an idea base to explore two of Irelands most beautiful Peninsulas – Rosguill and Fanad.
The holiday home has comfortable accommodation for up to 8 people. Three of the four bedrooms enjoy lovely sea views. There is a well equipped kitchen and dining area with glass doors providing views of Mulroy Bay – and providing access to the patio area and front lawn. The spacious living room also enjoys panoramic sea and mountain views.
The village of Carrigart is just under 4 km from the holiday home. This quaint coastal village is well served with shops, pubs, café’s, and gift shops. The popular seaside resort of Downings is 8km away and it has an abundance of tourist amenities including the Magherabeg Indoor Leisure Centre. The tiny village of Glen on the shores of Glen Lough is 6km away. This is the location of the Old Glen Bar which is renowned throughout the region for its bar food.
Mulroy View is an ideal base for a beach holiday. The superb Tramore Strand at Rosapenna is just 7km away. This unspoilt beach stretches for over 5km along the shores of Sheephaven Bay. At nearby Downings there is another fine beach which is popular for swimming and watersports. If you prefer your beaches a little quieter then there are numerous secluded beaches dotted along the length of the Atlantic Drive. The Mulroy Bridge brings the wonderful beaches of the Fanad Peninsula within easy driving distance – including the Blue Flag Portsalon Beach and Ballyhiernan Strand. The latter beach is the venue for the Adventure One Surf School which is the leading ISA (Irish Surfing Association) approved school on the north coast of Donegal. Closer to home is the PADI approved Meevagh Diving Centre in Carrigart itself which offers diving training all year round
Mulroy View is also a good base for the keen golfer. Stretching along the length of Tramore Strand is the magnificent Rosapenna Golf Resort which features two superb natural links courses – Sandy Hills and the Old Tom Morris Course. Both courses are highly ranked in Golf Digests Top 100 courses in Ireland - Sandy Hills at No 21 and the old Tom Morris at no 33. At Rosapenna there is also a driving range and a fine pitch an putt course. The top class Portsalon links course is just 15km away via the Mulroy Bridge and Dunfanaghy Golf Club is 20km to the west.
Located on the scenic Rosguil Peninsula Mulroy View is within easy driving distance of two more of Irelands most beautiful Peninsulas – Fanad and Horn Head. Heading towards Horn Head the visitor will pass the renowned Lackagh Bridge, the majestic Ards Forest Park, the Creeslough Lakes , Muckish Mountain and the popular beach resorts of Marble Hill, Portnablagh and Dunfanaghy. In the Fanad direction you have the dramatic Fanad Head Lighthouse, the Knockalla Coast Road and the holiday resorts of Portsalon and Rathmullan. All three peninsulas are ideal walking terrain.
The magnificent Glenveagh National Park is just over 25km from the holiday Home. This park has over 16,000 hectares (40,000 acres) of mountains, lakes, glens and woods, with a herd of red deer and the recently reintroduced Golden Eagle. A quaint castle is surrounded by one of the best gardens in Ireland, which contrasts sharply with the rugged surroundings. Glenveagh runs numerous activities throughout the holiday season including traditional music and dance sessions, guided walks, storytelling, history tours and Birds of Prey demonstrations.
The holiday home features a stylish modern kitchen with cream coloured units. Appliances available include electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer.
An adjacent utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Can I also take this opportunity to say how helpful and user friendly your website is - it is certainly a plus for Donegal. I became aware of it through a friend who has booked a house in Ballyliffin for a number of us attending a wedding in the area in the summer.
