No 2 Clondallon is a superb modern holiday cottage located  outside the charming holiday village of Rathmullan  in North West Donegal. This newly built holiday accommodation is finished to a very high standard with a strong emphasis on space and natural light in each area of the house. The cottage is situated on an elevated site with a superb panoramic view over a small lake and natural woodland towards the majestic Lough Swilly and the Inishowen Hills.

The majestic Kinnegar Strand is 1 mile from the cottage - a wonderful sandy beach that never gets too crowded. This beach leads to Rathmullan’s beautiful tree lined beach. Along the length of this beach you will find two excellent hotels - the 4 star Rathmullan House Hotel and the 3 star Fort Royal Hotel. Both hotels have excellent restaurants

The village of Rathmullan itself is approximately 2 km from the holiday home - a pleasant walk or a short drive. This picturesque seaside resort is now one of the most popular destinations in Donegal for family holidays. In addition to the wonderful sandy beach the village has a selection of lively pubs and  fine restaurants - including the award winning Bunnan Bui Restaurant. Pony trekking can be enjoyed at the Golden Sands Equestrian Centre. There are also two modern charter boats based at the local marina - these are used for both sea angling and sightseeing on Lough Swilly.  An excellent childrens' playground is now located at the harbour area of the village.

No 2 Clondallon is situated near the beginning of spectacular Knockalla coast road that runs along the eastern shores of the Fanad Peninsula. This road offers a spectacular drive overlooking Lough Swilly and the Inishowen hills. A 20 minute drive along this road will bring you to the holiday village of Portsalon where you will find a wonderful blue flag beach and a top class 18 hole golf links.  Otway golf club - a challenging 9 hole course set in spectacular scenery -  is a 3 minute drive from the holiday home.

Letterkenny, County Donegal's main town, is only 30 minutes by car. This modern town has a 5 screen cinema, bowling, go-karting, a superb modern leisure centre, a beautiful urban park, An Grianan Theatre, the Regional Cultural Centre and a wide variety of shopping.

The location of this beautiful holiday home will enable you to enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside whilst having the convenience of town living – and its many amenities -  in close proximity. The holiday home is a great base for walking, angling, scenic drives and golf.
