Coastal Setting

This bright spacious holiday house is situated in a small, safe development just before the breathtaking Atlantic Drive in  Downings. Set on a hill overlooking Sheephaven Bay and the surrounding countryside, the house has views across the sea to Muckish, and is within easy reach of excellent golf courses, water sports, and horse riding facilities, as well as a generous selection of traditional pubs, coffee shops and restaurants. The house enjoys all mod cons in a traditional, unspoilt location, providing an ideal base for action-packed holidays or cosy retreats.

The Cottage

It is modern, comfortably decorated throughout, and meticulously maintained. With a large and flexible living space and generously proportioned bedrooms, this welcoming home can accommodate families, or groups of up to 6 golfers.
The cottage is within easy reach (0.5 miles) of Downings village and a generous selection of traditional pubs, coffee shops and restaurants.

Golf

Local golf courses include the 18 hole Championship Old Tom Morris and Sandy Hills Courses at the Rosapenna Hotel (less than a 5min drive (1.5 miles)), and the St. Patrick's Course (10min drive). **** Concession golf fees at the Rosapenna Courses are available for parties of 4 or more wishing to avail of 3 or 5 day golf breaks ****

Activities

The area offers a variety of water sports including windsurfing, deep sea diving, sea angling and boat charters. Downings also benefits from a newly constructed leisure centre, with an indoor swimming pool which is only a 5 min walk away. Nearby Carrigart offers horse riding, whilst opportunities for hill walking abound.

Ideal Touring Base

Beautiful and varied destinations such the Bloody Foreland, Horn Head, the Rosses, the Fanad Peninsula and Glenveagh National Park are within easy driving distance. Day trips by ferry to Tory island offer a unique and fascinating insight into island life.

There is a spacious open plan kitchen and living room - Fully fitted beech kitchen (very good cupboard space) with integrated fridge and dishwasher, large storage cupboard under stairs. There is an equally spacious utility room to the rear of the house housing washing machine and tumble dryer.

The living room is located to the front of the house, has an open fireplace and enjoys panoramic views over the bay. It is elegantly furnished and features a solid pine wood floor. The front of living room is completely glass to include front doors. There are double doors leading to Sun Room. There is a Pine Staircase leading from living room up to a great wooden balcony with beautiful sea views.

All 3 sides of the Sun Room are glass providing beautiful panoramic views. Double doors lead into Living Room and a patio door leads out to the patio area
