Carndonagh is located close to the shores of Trawbeaga Bay in the heart of the northern part of the Inishowen Peninsula. Boasting a lovely selection of cafes, pubs and shops, the town has a strong reputation for music and culture with many musicians, artists and writers making it their home.

Ballyliffin Golf Club

The internationally renowned Ballyliffin Golf Club is just 9km away and features two first class links courses.  Carndonagh’s central location on Inishowen makes it easy to access the many fine beaches on the west, north and east sides of the peninsula. There are also numerous mountain and coastal walking routes in the region around the town.

  • Take a trip around the famous Inishowen 100 This is one of Ireland's most scenic drives.
