Number 3 is a four bedroom detached cottage that can
sleep up to eight. It has a sitting room with an open fireplace, a large
fully fitted kitchen and dining area, a main bathroom, two en-suites, a
hallway and entrance porch. The outside is fully landscaped with a
fenced boundary, and a kerbed and tarmac'd driveway.
It is one in a development of 8 holiday homes, with communal facilities
which include a tennis court and a
secure play area for children.
The cottages are located in a quiet and peaceful setting,
safe for children with miles of sandy beaches only half a mile away.
Situated in a most scenic area of the Donegal coastline in the seaside
village of Bunbeg, internationally known for its culture, language and
traditional music.
The area has interests for everyone, quiet walks along the beach, or for
the more adventurous, a climb of Mt. Errigal.
You may stroll along to the Martello tower, visit Europe's smallest
harbour; Bunbeg, and take a trip on the ferry to Tory Island. Visit Glenveigh National Park and experience it's peace and tranquility among
the Derryveagh mountains. Fish for salmon on the Clady river or bring
the children to Dunlewey Lakeside Centre.
The golfer has a choice of golf courses, Gweedore 3km, Cruit 20km,
Portnoo 40km, Pitch & Putt 20km.
Tennis court and private play area on site. Seafood restaurants,
traditional music and horse riding are all available locally.

There is a wide variety of evening entertainment available in the local
hotels, bars, lounges and clubs, ranging from traditional Irish music,
ballad sessions, discos and céilí.
Leisure facilities Swimming pools, beaches:
There is an abundance of safe sandy beaches to be found right along the
coast. Óstán Ghaoth Dobhair have indoor leisure facilities which include
a 17m swimming pool, jacuzzi and health club equipped with Nautilus
health and fitness equipment.
Boating, sailing, surfing, sub-aqua diving...your choice!
Fishing:
This area is a fisherman's 'heaven' with ample facilities available for
fresh water fishing and deep sea angling.
Mountain Climbing:
The big challenge for the enthusiastic climber is Mt Errigal, Donegal's
highest peak. (see picture on right.)
Festivals:
Various festivals are held in and around the North West throughout the
year, most in the summer months, and range from angling to music with
the most popular of all being the "Mary from Dungloe" festival at the
end of July.
Rallying:
The Donegal Harvest Rally takes place in Gweedore each Autumn. The
rallys main point of call is the Seaview Hotel which is just .5km from
the holiday home.
Music:
This small area of Donegal is home to many popular Irish Artists
including Altan, Aine, Enya, Clanad, and Daniel O'Donnell. All are
originally from within 20 miles of Bunbeg, and you can even go down and
visit Daniel's "Mammy's House"! |
