Tariff 2008

A 4 star approved, charming converted barn located amid the splendour of the Inishowen Hills in north Donegal. All traditional features have been carefully maintained. The cosy first floor living accommodation with its adjoining elevated patio has panoramic view of Lough Swilly and surrounding countryside. It's an ideal dwelling for a romantic break or relaxing vacation.

This ideally located accommodation comes with an open plan living area, with a blend of stone and timber enhanced by a wood burning stove and complimentary fixtures and fittings to add to its charm. Set at the foot of Dunaff hill, Old Phil's Barn has lovely sea and surrounding countryside views.

Old Phil's Barn is an ideal base for a touring base for the Inishowen peninsula and indeed the entire north coast of Ireland via the car ferries at Greencastle and Rathmullan (mid-June to mid-September)

Ballyliffin Golf Club
Ballyliffin has a full 36 holes to savour – two outstanding and contrasting links courses: the classic Old Links and the magnificent new Glashedy Links. Nick Faldo, a previous Irish and British Open Champion, immediately fell under the spell, but then he hadn’t encountered anything quite like Ballyliffin before.

Greencastle Golf Club
Nestling in the idyllic surroundings of the Inishowen Peninsula and near the entrance to Lough Foyle Greencastle is renowned for its hospitality and tranquillity. The Greencastle Golf Club is bordered on one side by the waters of Lough Foyle, with panoramic views across the mountains of Derry, while on the other, equally spectacular views up into the hills of Co. Donegal.

Local places to visit include:

Doagh Island famine Village - This outdoor museum tells the story of life in this area in the 1970’s going back to the famine in the 1840’s resident Singers, Musicians and Dancers during June, July and August.

Greencastle Maritime Museum - This outdoor museum tells the story of life in this area in the 1970’s going back to the famine in the 1840’s resident Singers, Musicians and Dancers during June, July and August.

Fort Dunree Military Museum - Fort Dunree is perched majestically on a rocky outcrop overlooking Lough Swilly. An exciting new exhibition opens in the Museum this year covering the history of the Fort, the people who lived there and the events that shaped their lives. Original military equipment is used to tell the story of the Fort. Open June-September-all week

Glenevin Waterfall - located just outside the village of Clonmany this spectacular waterfall reveals itself after a pleasant walk through the nearby woodland.
