
This charming traditional cottage is located at Meenabrock in the rolling hillside above the village of Dunkineely in south Donegal. It has been in continuous occupation for over 100 years and has recently been tastefully refurbished to modern self catering standards.
The cottage looks out over surrounding farmland and there are interesting rambling trails in the immediate area. With its turf burning stove, thick walls and original wood ceilings, the cottage offer a warmth and charm that will win over any visitor.
Donegal Castle, Donegal Town
Built by the O'Donnells in the 15th century beside the River Eske, the castle is furnished throughout and includes Persian rugs and French tapestries.
The Donegal Craft Village just on the outskirts of Donegal Town consist of a number of craft orientated workshops where the visitor can admire and purchase the arts and crafts produced by the resident professional craft workers.
Glenveagh National Park, Churchill, Letterkenny
Some 16, 540 hectares of mountains, lake, glens, and woods with deer and a Scottish style castle. Park open February to November.

Archaeological Walks
County Donegal is rich in archaeological monuments, from megalithic tombs to early Christian sites, ship wrecks to WW2 plane crash sites. Many of these monuments and sites are in good condition and are accessible.
Killybegs
Killybegs is situated on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean and is a "must see" for the visitor to Donegal’s beautiful southwest. Watch as the fishing boats unload their catch of fresh fish at he pier, see the fishermen as they mend their nets at the quayside in preparation for another trip to sea
The kitchen is located to the rear of the cottage and is fully equipped to ensure you have a memorable home from home holiday experience in this beautiful part of south Donegal. It features a pine dresser, tiled floor, dining table and the door opens to the rear garden area.
The living room is centrally located within the cottages with doors leading to the two bedrooms, kitchen and exterior. It retains its original high wood ceiling and artefacts to recall days gone by are neatly displayed on the walls. This room features a turf burning stove, leather furniture and is equipped with tv and dvd.
The cottage has two bedrooms and can accommodate up to 5 people. As in the main living area, the high wood ceilings have been carefully maintained adding to the overall charm and cosiness of the cottage. Both bedrooms, being located to the front of the cottage, have views over the surrounding rural landscape. The twin bedroom has an extra single bed which is stored under one of the beds and can be quickly put in place for a 5th guest.
The shower room is located to the rear of the cottage, next to the kitchen, and features an electric shower in a generously sized enclosure.
