Palm Tree House is a tastefully restored townhouse with a superb location on the shore front in the charming holiday village of Rathmullan, Co. Donegal.
This deceptively spacious holiday home has 5 bedrooms and can  accommodate 9 people very comfortably. The 2 bedrooms to the front of the house - and the two ground floor sitting rooms - enjoy superb views of Lough Swilly and Inch Island.

Rathmullan

Within 500 meters of the townhouse you have Rathmullan's beautiful tree-lined beach, the pier with a small marina, the Rathmullan to Buncrana car ferry, the Flight of the Earls Heritage Centre,  an antique shop, 4 pubs, two excellent restaurants, a top class fish and chip shop, a childrens playground and the local playing fields.

A little further afield – but still within comfortable walking distance - you have the Golden Sands Equestrian Centre and one of Donegal's finest hotels – Rathmullan House Hotel  This hotel has the award winning Weeping Elm restaurant. Two modern sea charter boats are available for hire at the marina -  for  both deep sea angling or sightseeing trips on Lough Swilly. The recently established Rathmullan Watersports School offers classes in sailing and windsurfing during the summer season.

Ideal Tour Base

The central location of Rathmullan in North Donegal makes it an ideal base to tour this beautiful part of Ireland. During the summer months the Rathmullan to Buncrana car ferry brings the majestic Inishowen Peninsula with easy reach of the holiday home.
The dramatic landscapes of the Fanad and Rosguil Peninsulas, the unspoilt Donegal Highlands, the magnificent Glenveagh National Park and the ancient and historic walled City of Derry are all with an hours drive of the cottage.

Golfing

A 20 minute drive along the spectacular Knockalla Coast Road will bring you to Portsalon Golf Course which is now one of the finest links courses in Donegal. Portsalon is also the location of one of the best blue flag beaches in Ireland. A 30 minute drive towards Downings will bring you to Rosapenna which has two superb championship golf courses. This is also the starting point of the famous Atlantic Drive.

The main living room in the holiday home is located to the front of the house and features an electric effect fireplace, television and luxury furniture suite. The room enjoys lovely views of Lough Swilly and Inch Island.

Bedrooms  Bedrooms

The large windows and high ceilings in the townhouse give a wonderful sense  of openness, light and space. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms located to the front of the house and both enjoy superb views of Lough Swilly and Inch Island. There are two more twin bedrooms upstairs and a single bedroom on the ground floor.

Dining Room  Dining Room

There is a smaller second living room to the front of the  holiday townhouse. This tastefully furnished and decorated room has a dining table and features an open fireplace.
