Quinn Holiday Homes is delighted to offer two detached houses in Narin, Portnoo Co. Donegal, Ireland. This tranquil village is situated on the north west of the country along the rugged Atlantic coastline.
The three and four bedroom houses are furnished to a high standard and fitted with modern conveniences to ensure a comfortable stay. Available to rent throughout the year, both provide central heating and feature an open fire in the living room. (Electric blankets are provided should the evenings turn chilly.)
The kitchens are fully fitted for all your culinary needs, whether that be a light lunch with the family or a dinner party with guests. Each house has a master bedroom which is en-suite, while the three bedroom property consists of two single beds in the second bedroom and two double beds in the third bedroom, which is ideally used as a family sleeping room.
The four bedroom property is as above but has an extra double bedroom.
When you rise in the morning a glance from the lounge or kitchen windows offers an impressive view of Narin Portnoo's 18 hole golf links, miles and miles of sandy beaches and the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean. The golf course itself has hosted many top amateur competitions in the past and is a true test for any standard of golfer.
For three quarters of a century, visitors have come to witness the hanging valleys winding fairways and undulating greens first hand on what is regarded as one of the finest links courses in Ireland. The par 69 course is 5396 metres long and includes the short but notoriously tricky par three, as well as the "postcard" hole on sixteenth.
Running adjacent is Narin's blue flag beach, a mile and a half long element of nature that is ideal for both the water sports enthusiast and the couple simply looking forward to a leisurely stroll.
After braving the elements why not enjoy a lively night in one of our local public houses where food is served throughout the day and traditional music sessions are regular events!
Other local tourist attractions include the awe-inspiring Kilclooney Dolmen and the 2000-year-old Celtic island fortress, Doon Fort, both of which are just a few minutes drive from the holiday houses.
For the family with young children there is a modern playground facility and museum at the Dolmen centre, and the heritage town of Ardara is only ten minutes away, where you can enjoy various restaurants and pubs.
We are located in Narin/Portnoo in the scenic south west of Donegal Ireland.
The saying "all good things come to those who wait" is certainly no exception in this case as the few extra miles to this scenic resort is well worth the trip.
Please consult the map for alternative routes to where we are.
Our local airport n Carrickfinn is located about 30km. north of here. The main airports are Derry, Belfast, Dublin and Shannon where car hire is also available.
Ferries link Ireland with the U.K at Larne Belfast, Dublin Port Dun Laoighre and Rosslare
