Another wonderful traditional Irish holiday over the last 2 weeks. Mixed weather , but swimming in the rain is a delight, especially with a pint in the Singing Pub beckoning afterwards!
Well equipped house with plenty of room for .....extended family... and magnificent views over entrance to Mulroy Bay. Some wonderful starry nights , surfing, walking, golfing, running (full 8 miles of Atlantic Drive!) , eating and general craic......
We will be back I’m sure.

PS: we also brought our boat with sails and out board this year. Great fun!

John & Jayne,
Thank you so much for the rent of your lovely holiday home. Children and adults all loved the house, location and surroundings. House is beautiful and well equipped. Views are class and lovely walks all around. Children loved the indoor play on the rainy day and were able to go to the beach when it was dry. Thanks also for the warm welcome.

It’s the last day of our holidays. We have had a lovely comfortable stay in this great holiday home. It’s been our 2nd year stay in this house and hopefully we will be back again. Very suitable for a family.
A few of the things we have done during our stay:
· Went to the close-by beach (Tra Na Rossan)
· Downings Beach
· Dunlewy Centre, great for younger children
· Ards Friary , great for a walk and discovered a lovely beach at it, great views.
· Dunfanaghy , the Workhouse and play park
· Horse riding in Carrigart , very good.
· Went to Singing Pub most nights. Had a lovely meal there.
· Had a special treat nearly every day at McNutts (Downings Pier)
· Mickey Joe’s supermarket has all your needs and reasonable.
Thank You!

Have had a fabulous week with the kids. Many thanks for a really comfortable house – all that we needed was here (maybe a few curtains would help to keep the early risers (5am!!) in bed a bit longer).
Plenty to do and see, but kids mainly loved the beaches, played all day regardless of the weather. Wetsuits were invaluable.
We will be back and spread the word!
Many thanks for letting us use your lovely holiday home.

Back again for another very enjoyable week with our time spent between long walks on the beaches and relaxing evenings in by the fire. Quite cold at this time of year but no problem for the excellent heating system in No.5.
Already looking forward to our next stay.

We have been to Donegal many times but this was our first time in the Downings area. The cottage is first class with a superb heating system (unlike some we have stayed in). It is extremely well equipped and provided us with a very comfortable base to explore the surrounding area.
We will return to the Downings area soon and definitely stay at No.5 Dundoan Cottage. Highly recommended!

This has been a perfect holiday to get away from the hustle and bustle of London. The house was so peaceful with superb views. We had several nearby beaches all to ourselves. Also the house is well kitted out so we did not need to go anywhere else for food. Would love to come back !!
Mr N L, Highgate, London

Thank you so much for a great stay. The house was very comfortable and well equipped.

We had a lovely peaceful time, brought back a lot of happy memories. Well equipped house – a pity you don’t have the same control over the weather. Thanks.
Irene and Paddy

A wonderful week with a very comfortable and well equipped house. The weather was very kind which gave us the opportunity to explore the area. The views were magnificent and the peace was just what we needed.

Saw a Golden Eagle over the bay. Wonderful.

Thanks you - a lovely house, very clean and well equipped – had a lovely stay.

We had a lovely holiday. The house is gorgeous and comfortable and well equipped with wonderful views. The position of the house was perfect for us to go to Downings for windsurfing and Tra na Rossan beach and horse riding at Carrigart. The weather was great too !

This is the third house we have rented around here and by far the best. Beautiful views and so peaceful and very well equipped. I will recommend it to anyone who asks and will probably come again next year.
Thanks Gail G and family

Very peaceful, quiet setting, enjoyed the stay, very lucky with the weather, dry and sunny spells. Will come back again another year.
The Brittains

Fantastic house, in a beautiful setting with breathtaking views. We had everything to hand to ensure a great family holiday – even the weather !! Body boarding on Tran a Rosan had to be the highpoint of the holiday ! Many thanks to all of the Swail family for making this such a great holiday.
PS The cycle ride over Fanad was lung bursting !
The Campbell family

This was our third time hiring in the Downings and the best accommodation experience so far. The house is very well equipped and located and all age groups enjoyed the stay. The sun room/dining room is fantastic for drying clothes or warming up.

This holiday has been brilliant ! We have had very many experiences and many of them in the house. The beach is brilliant what with being so near and not to mention beautiful. The house is brilliant and suited everyone’s needs. Thank you. We hope to be back.
