Truely Spectacular
Marrietta thank you so much for having us stay at your lovely home. The mountains, beaches and places we visited are things we will never forget. I spent many hours staring out over Sheephaven Bay, one morning I saw a fishing boat come in early and went to the harbour to watch the fishermen unload mackeral. Besides our weekend at Portrush and enjoying Shane winning, we enjoyed 5 days on the golf courses locally. We made time to visit Letterkenny, Glen, Dunfanaghy, Creeslough, Glenvigh and Doe castles, Fanad and Horn Head and beautiful Na Dúnaibh. My thanks for the wonderful meals we had at The Glen, Beach Hotel, Mc Nuitts, Crepe House and last but not least the Singing Pub.

We had a lovely stay at the beginning of May. Marrietta is very welcoming and her brown bread is delicious! The house itself is beautiful, very spacious with comfortable beds and has all you need including good WiFi. The views across the bay are stunning. Highly recommend this place!

We had a lovely stay at Carraig Donn. Marrietta greeted us on arrival and we were delighted with the lovely welcome basket, it went down a treat after our long drive. The house was excellent and had everything that we could possibly need. The views from the house were amazing and Downings is a lovely village. We would definitely be back again for another visit.

Thank you so much for a wonderful welcome of homemade goods...only in Ireland. The house is just beautiful and had everything we needed in the cupboards. Location and views are fantastic and my two boys had the best time on their holidays and it helped by having a fantastic holiday home. We had a wonderful time at Carraig Donn. In Germany, you would say it was 'fabelhaft'.The house is fantastic and the view is beautiful. You were really helpful and we are very thankful for our stay. We will recommend this cottage.

We have been to Downing's for about 10 years, this was a fantastic house to stay in. plenty of room with a great view. The house itself was lovely. upon arriving we were welcomed and there was tasty goodies left for us, homemade breads, marmalade, milk, tea, coffee. I would recommend this house to anyone, we were a family traveling and the facilities were great, showers, washing machine, tumble dryer (all great for going home with no washing). If you are looking a place to stay in Donegal, this is a wee gem.

What the pictures don't show is how wonderful the views are from this magnificent house. It very comfortably accommodated 2 couples and 3 children. The kids could have their own rooms and bathroom downstairs. Marietta provided some lovely home made bread, cake and marmalade for us on arrival. We had a wonderful week here.

We had a wonderful stay here recently with our families. Upon arrival we were greeted by Marietta and a very welcome selection of goodies! The house is very comfortable and has all the facilities you need for your stay. The location and views are stunning, and the area has lots to offer including some fantastic beaches.
