This was the 3rd time we visited Ireland. We especially love this part of the country. For us Donegal is typical Ireland. Less Tourists! The last time we were here was 10 years ago. Alot has cahnged since then: more houses on the coast, more infrastructure. The roads are much better. The places to visit more touristic. That are the both sides of the same coin. The weather, the people and nature are still as beautiful as 10 years ago!
We have rented for 1st time a home. We are used to camping ... What a luxury!
Crohy Cottage is the best place to visit: clean, nice owners, best views!
Mount Errigal, Slieve League (no wind!), Crollys Leo's Tavern, Derry, walking around this area, Bloody Foreland. You don't need to go far, the most beautiful scenery is sitting by this cottage and look around, walk near, everything you are searching for is already here. We will come back! Thanks John, Nuala & Cracker's
Just a word of thanks and gratitude to John & Nuala and family for providing us with wonderful home for an amazing week in this beautliful corner of the World. Your cottage is simple and spiritual, comfortable and unforgettable. We will return.
Had a relaxing week enjoying the Spectacular Views. Sitting out in the sun and reading. Visiting the nearby sights of this beautiful part of the World. Thank you so much.
Thank you for a warm welcome and all the helpful advice. All you need to do is go out the door and walk. Spectacular views if you go towards Meenacross. Beautiful house, comfortable, homely and so clean! The three weeks were the best we've had in Donegal. Its a great house in a great place. We'll hope to see you again. Thanks again to Nuala & John and John's Dad John (lovely man). Crackers has to get a special mention - he loves plain cakes and apples, we'd bring him home if we could - hope to come back here again.
What a fantastic time we have had. Something for everyone! Game of Thrones locations, beautiful beaches, warm welcomes, festivals, amazing views on our door step. Geocaches all around and lots of time to relax as well as the smell of burning turf.
Very special day on Inishfree where we found the house our father lived in as a child. A very special Island experience.
We will miss 'Crackers' and his welcome home call (I want cake!). Thank you for our holiday.
Best holiday ever! This was our second Donegal holiday but first time on the west coast. We didn't think we could beat our last holiday but we were wrong. The house, fire, beds, playarea, view, Crackers and the surrounding area is just perfect. We did so much. We visited Leo's Tavern, Dunlewey church ruins @ Poison Glen, Portnoo beach, Maghery beach, Slieve League, Bunbeg and the shipwreck, Crohy Tower, Bloody Foreland, Glencolmcille Folk Park, Glenveagh National Park and dinner twice at The Stepping Stone in Dungloe. We loved every minute and created so many precious and cherished memories. Thank you John & Nuala for your most special holiday home. It really is wonderful! PS. We will miss Cracker's too, he is lovely.
Beautiful Cottage. Visiting Donegal every year, we find each year even more spectacuar, finding this cottage - a real Gem and heightening our experience/holiday.
We enjoyed a morning swim in the Rock Pool you can see out the front. Glenveagh Castle, Leo's Bar and many a 'Quieter' nights at the charming Stard Bar in Maghery. Reccomend the 'Bay View' in Dungloe for food along with Leo's out of Town.
Thank you John & Nuala for another fantastic holiday in Donegal. We already can't wait to be back and see Crackers again.
