Back to property details

This is our second time on holidays here. Denis’s is a great cottage and the hospitality we received was brilliant.

We have been coming to the Dunfanaghy area for many years and this is by far the best place we have stayed. Stunning views and we had everything we needed in the house. Would definitely come back and stay.

We have rented a holiday house for nigh on twenty five years now. Never in all that time have we had such a beautifully situated house as is Deniss Cottage. The view of hill and mountain, rock and sea from the front door is absolutely stunning. What a beautiful way to start the day with the sheep on the surrounding fields and the sun shining on the sea below! We had memorable walks from the house up into the hills behind and the McSwyes Gun Loop Walk is an absolute must. I had expected the house to be a bit on the small side for our leggy lot but its actually much more spacious than the photos suggest. We will have to return, Sandra, and thanks for everything.

This cottage is beautiful, modern in design, spacious and excellently maintained. The scenery is amazing with stunning views of the ocean, the Hills of Donegall and the natural rolling countryside. We spent Easter week in the cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is quite tranquil and we enjoyed the scenery with the Connemara Ponies and the sheep with their new born lambs. Lambing season had just finished the week before and the fields were full of new born lambs. Sam the farmer came to feed the sheep every day and let the kids pet the lambs. The children had a ball outside the cottage where they could safely play and cycle. They also enjoyed horse riding, pitch & putt, walks, and of course the wonderful beaches. I would highly reccommend this cottage to any group or family and will definitely be back again next year.

We stayed in denis's cottage for a long weekend in may, could not have asked for anything better. The house was immaculate with every thing in it that you would need and Sandra was the perfect hostess. It was a bit of the main road but the view was worth it absolutely stunning.I will definitely go back.

'My friends' eyes light up with envy when I tell them that I will be spending 3 weeks holiday in this special Horn Head cottage. The view from the front door is incomparable, with Muckish mountain and the Aghlas, right across the width of  Ballyness bay to Bloodly Foreland and they are all there to be explored once you have enjoyed all that Horn Head and the Dunfanaghy area have to offer.

The house is really cosy, comfortable, well equipped and low maintenance. The owners are a pleasure to deal with. If you go once you'll be hooked.

Four years ago we stayed in a fantastic cottage in Donegal. My brother saw the advert in Muck and Muffins a local shop. Since then we have had fantastic holidays in the cottage.  It is situated on Horn Head, and the views from the front of the house are stunning.
It looks like a typical Donegal house on the outside but inside it is much bigger than we expected. It has three bedrooms but there is a bed settee in the kitchen . We have a large family circle and there was plenty of room for everyone. We love everything about the house. It is in such beautiful order, is great for families and is easily kept tidy.
It is a bit off the main road, but that is what we love about it. The children are safe and they love looking at the sheep and horses.
We also love climbing up the hill behind the house.  The owners could not be nicer and they have become our friends."
