The snug is a real discovery. It has everything you could need on arrival. The appartment is clean, decorated with great taste and is close to all amenities. An ideal location to discover Donegal! The garden is completely private with a sea view in the distance. A great place to relax after the day. The local people as indeed the owner were very welcoming and provided excellent information on where to go and what to see. I will certainly stay again and will recommend this location to friends. |

We stayed for the first time in April and fell in love with Dunkineely. Sheila has thought of everything to make our stay perfect. We had lunch in the Village Tavern on Sunday and would highly recommend it. Stay at the Snug its fantastic!

Our party booked both cottages at the same time. Everything better than described. Clean as a whistle. Whole booking process totally smooth. Already recommended to others. Visits to Slieve League, Maghera strand and caves, Assaranca waterfall, Glengesh, Teelin, Loughros Point, Ardara for tweeds, Donegal town itself, and St John’s point can all be accomplished in 3 to 4 days. The pubs in Dunkineely are where you can meet real people, and listen to musicians. Baskins is good for everyday eating. A treat is Castlemurray house currently around 50 euro for the full spread in the evening. Gourmet

The Snug garden apartment is a real hidden treasure. We stayed there twice this summer and each time found our stay absolutely perfect. A huge plus for us is that it is pet friendly and having access to the garden was great freedom for our dog and also we could enjoy the beautiful weather at that time. Our contact with the owner was extremely helpful and welcoming and she provided us with lots of information re walks etc. The apartment itself is very tastefully decorated and finished to an exceptional high standard with every convenience provided, including a well equipped kitchen. Castle Murray Hotel is close by with a superb restaurant/bar and is also pet friendly! The location of the apartment is ideal for exploring the beauty of Donegal and we would highly recommend this property for a welcoming luxurious stay with every comfort provided. In fact cant wait to go back!!!!

Staying at The Snug was a delight the very well looked after apartment was decorated to a very high standard and the large garden was great for our dog to enjoy his freedom playing and racing around. The tidy village was a lovely resting place after our days out to all the nearby towns in County Donegal my fiancee and I and not forgetting the dog visited. The quaint pubs in the village welcomed us all with their friendly chat and craic and I would have no hesitation in recommending The Snug Dunkineely as the perfect place to stay when in Donegal.
