This is a little gem! We had a great time at heather cottage. it’s quiet and relaxing perfect for those who want to destress surrounded by nature but also a great base for those who want to explore the north Donegal coast and parks. Suzanne was a great host and went above and beyond for us. The cottage was clean and well equipped. We will definitely return in the future when visiting the area !

This is a little gem !

You would struggle to find a fault with this beautiful accommodation. The house and hosts are the best we have stayed with. The house itself is immaculately clean, extremely comfortable, spacious and including all relevant mod cons. We loved the little touches like the tassimo machine! Good shower, comfortable lounge, convenient electricity meter, Wifi etc all included. There are lovely walks and cycles from right outside the door, a lake nearby and only 2km from Creeslough. Suzanne and David were wonderful hosts, going above and beyond. They were extremely welcoming, providing excellent information on surroundings and even a card to allow access to Ards Forest Park. All these touches made for an extremely enjoyable stay. 5 stars, highly recommend!!

Heather cottage is immaculately clean, beautiful inside, lovely shower, and nights sleep, with peaceful countryside surroundings. Fantastic location close to Dunfanaghy (15 min drive), the Boardwalk, Glenveagh National Park, Ards Forest Park, Mount Errigal, stunning beaches where you can go surfing. But the best thing that I loved was the safe enclosed garden, and the fact my dogs could potter in and out of the patio doors. Dogs are only allowed in the kitchen, but it's so clean you wouldn't even know any previous guests had been there / had dogs!
David & Suzanne have worked very hard to create a lovely cosy holiday home, they are lovely and make you feel incredibly welcome.
Heather cottage was absolutely fantastic!
Just a personal note - if you are someone who gets bitten by insects, just remember to bring some insect repellant as lots of little midgets are about in Donegal in general at dusk.

We stayed at Suzanne & David's cottage and it was absolutely amazing. Suzanne & David were great. We had a flat tyre and David helped us change it.
Amazing cottage and amazing hosts!
The cottage is beautiful and surrounded by nature and sheep. It was a super quiet area in the evening and super relaxing. The house was super bright during the day because it has big windows. There is a nice lake close to the cottage and also Marblehill beach is just 15 min drive from it.
We would highly recommend and we will definitely stay again in this cottage if we come back to Donegal. Location is great and the host gave us a lot of recommendations on places to visit, with literature also available in the cottage.

SUPERB HOSPITALITY
Very tranquil and private in beautiful cuntryside. On the first night the TV didn't work but I let Dave know and his response was truly superb customer service. He got it fixed immediately and I was very impressed. Dave & Suzanne are a lovely host and the cottage is a true gem.

EXCEPTIONAL HEATHER COTTAGE
Beautiful remote location but five minute drive to amenities. Cottage was very clean and comfortable.
Would recommend this if you were travelling with small children or dog as there is a gated garden.
Superb friendly hosts but left us alone unless we needed help with something.

A MAGICAL STAY IN THE MIDDLE OF BEAUTIFUL DONEGAL
Suzanne was an incredible host. She welcomed us at the start of our stay, and was available for anything we needed. The cottage itself is INCREDIBLE - far better than the pictures suggest (if you can believe it!) It's situated in a small valley, surrounded by sheep, cows, and tall hills. It's a perfect spot to explore the rest of Donegal from, while allowing you the privacy of your space. The amenities themselves were also great - a comfortable bed, great appliances, and a fireplace to boot. We will definitely be back.
Hot tip - Go to Fisk's Seafood in Downings and get the fish tacos. Thank me later !!

Murphy Party, AUGUST 2020

This is a gorgeous little haven nestled in such beautiful mountainous surroundings, with lovely scenery and country walks at your doorstep. Everything is so peaceful, yet near to the local village of Creeslough and a short drive to nearby beaches. The bungalow is bright, cosy and spotless with comfortable beds and has everything you need. The patios are great for relaxing whilst watching the sheep grazing in your back garden. Suzanne is friendly, a helpful host and lives just down the lane if you need anything. I just wish our stay could have been longer but will be back as soon as circumstances allow. Thank you Suzanne.

Our 3rd visit! Thanks Suzanne for such a clean cottage.

One word sums up this place "perfect", the cottage, the location, the owners. We will be back next year.
Anderson/Wilson family, LINCOLNSHIRE

The cottage is in such a good position for making the most of the sun. But my favourite bit is the peace and quiet, to sit and hear nothing but birds and sheep etc is lovely.
We are looking forward to our next trip in a few weeks.

Lovely cottage in the Creeslough area of Donegal. A short drive away from the Glenveigh National Park. The cottage is well equiped, clean, homely and the beds comfortable. Pets are welcome and the cottage comfortably sleeps 6. there are plenty of nice restaurants and pubs a short drive away and the location is very quiet and scenic. The perfect choice for a weekend away from the city.

"Very peaceful location. Beats the stresses & strains of Belfast city life. Loved the rooster singing to us every morning. Can't wait to be back!"
David & Julie, Belfast.

Lovely cottage set in the peaceful countryside. We have really enjoyed the daily 'antics' of the ducks & chickens. Thanks to David & Suzanne for guiding us on our 'tours' of beautiful Donegal. We will surely recommend you to our friends & family.

The cottage is in a perfect location. It is clean and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The setting is peaceful and tranquil - very relaxing. We went for a walking and sightseeing holiday and we were able to bring our dogs. The location was just ideal, it is located beside so many walks and beaches, and it is the perfect base. Ards Forest Park (10 mins) Glenveagh National Park (15 mins) Ballyness Beach (30 mins) and so many other beaches and sights be seen, you will always have something to do and somewhere to see. Creeslough itself is a little village, (5 mins drive from House) has a great Garage/Supermarket which has everything you need if you need to stock up for cooking in the house or grab some lunch. But if you don’t want to cook, there is a local chipper, chipper van and then Rose’s bar and restaurant which we used for takeaway food. Was delicious any evening we got it. Suzanne the host was super helpful and friendly and gave us some nice sightseeing tips and leaves lots of brochures and local information in the house for you. I would definitely recommend the house, as it is just ideal for touring and sightseeing around Donegal. There is truly so many beautiful places to see, will definitely be back again.
