Great house, great location – could not recommend highly enough!
We booked this house for 3 nights online. We arrived on Friday afternoon and were greeted by Jennifer who showed us around, give us the Wi-Fi dongle and lots of information about the area and a list of tourist attractions to visit. We thought this was a lovely, friendly gesture. There were 6 adults, 2 kids and 2 babies everyone was delighted with the accommodation. The house was big enough for everyone and had everything we needed for a large family, 3 massive bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, cot, highchair, toys to entertain the kids, Freeview TV and a large beautiful kitchen with all modern appliances. The house was very clean and extremely homely. Honesty I can’t think of anything that the house didn’t have! The scenery was absolutely breath-taking and as a bonus we didn’t have to watch the freeview Channels on the 42 inch TV as the weather was excellent. The beautiful beach is only a few minutes away from the house, the beach is fantastic and we spent several hours each day enjoying the views, kayaking, swimming and building sand castle with the kids. We went for dinner in the local restaurant, the food was top class long with the fantastic service and the price was great.
Overall, a really fantastic stay! The house was brilliant and the local area equally so. I would definitely stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends and family in fact several of my friends have booked the house and haven’t been disappointed.

“We stayed in Teach Aisling for a week last summer 2015. I’ve been meaning to write a review since but time just got away from me. When I read the rumours yesterday that Star Wars was going to be recording in Malin Head, that spurred me on to book another week in Teach Aisling and finally write this review.
Even though the house “sleeps 6″ there was actually 9 of us and we still had loads of room . Myself, my husband, my sister, partner, 4 kids and a baby. 2 of my sister’s children slept on blow up mattresses we’d brought along and absolutely loved it as it was like camping.
When we arrived on the Saturday we were greeted by Christina, she lives next door and is the owner’s sister. She was a very pleasant girl and showed us around giving us details on how to work the appliances and the heat. I asked if there was Wi-Fi and she allowed us to borrow her Three Dongle which we needed to top-up. I think it was about €25 for 7gb but there was a €10 option as well. Before she left she insisted if we needed anything or had any questions, just call her and she’d come straight up and help out.”
“The house is actually attached to a smaller apartment which is usually only kept to be used by the owners when they arrive. While we were there, it was used for one night but the only reason we noticed was because of another car I the street. They didn’t interfere with our stay at all.
The house itself was stunning. The kitchen and living area were massive (well, compared to my house anyway) and so warm. I find it really difficult to get warm and stay warm but they must have great insulation or something as I could wear a T-shirt around the house and believe me that’s unusual.
The mattresses were really comfortable, very thick like hotel mattresses and the sheets were spotless. That first night we were there was the best night’s sleep I’d had in months. I don’t know if it was the Malin Head air or the beds but I was happy either way.The towels provided were soft and fluffy and there was a bundle for every room.
There is a large flat screen TV in the sitting room and it had all the freeview channels, which was enough considering we weren’t there to watch TV. Christina had given us a list of suggested walks and we enjoyed doing those even if the weather wasn’t too great. There were loads of flyers and brochures in the house for different activities and places to go.
We ate out on a couple of evenings at the Seaview Tavern. As we arrived we were surprised to see Christina behind the counter, she hadn’t told us she worked in the bar area. The food was to die for. Their chowder was second to none. Every other evening we cooked ourselves, Id done a big shop on the way up to Malin Head as I’d known there was a great bid American fridge and freezer and it was a joy to cook on the fancy range.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, that’s why we’ve booked again this year and recommended Teach Aisling to countless others.”
