Realt na Farraige is a superb modern 4 bedroom holiday home that is blessed with a  wonderfully scenic location on the Gweedore coastline at Derrybeg  - a location that is both secluded and yet convenient to all the main tourist attractions in West Donegal. The holiday home is situated on an elevated site overlooking the quaint Mahergallon harbour and pier. From almost every window in the holiday home there are wonderful views - views that include Gweedore Bay, Gola Island, Inishmean Island and Errigal Mountain.

The holiday home has top class accommodation for up to 9 people.  The very spacious master bedroom features a double and single bed and enjoys superb sea views. The main living and dining area in the holiday home is located on the first floor. This area has been carefully designed to make maximum use of natural sunlight -  and to enable the visitor to enjoy the stunning vista outside.

The quaint Mahergallon Pier (known locally as Kitty Archie's Pier) is literally a stones throw from the front door of the holiday home. There are small sandy beaches on either side of this pier. During the summer months local fishermen use the pier to land their lobster catches -and to travel to and from the islands offshore. At nearby Derrybeg Pier there is a daily ferry service to Tory island. The 9 hole Gweedore Golf Club is located just to the rear of the house.

The holiday home is 2km from Derrybeg in the heart of the Gweedore Gaeltacht. The Irish Language has survived in this area -  along with much of the traditional Irish Culture that has now been lost to many other areas of the County.

The Derrybeg area is well served with a variety of shops, good restaurants and hotels. A warm and friendly atmosphere is to be found in the local pubs -  many of which have regular traditional music sessions. The entire area is surrounded by miles of sandy beaches.

The holiday home is an ideal base to explore the beautiful coastline of West Donegal. Errigal and the Derryveagh mountains are only 15 minutes drive away. The Dunlewey Lakeside Centre is a similar distance by car and boasts an exciting historical display of local crafts, trips on the lake and play facilities for children. Fishing in the local lakes and rivers is a popular local activity.

•Enjoy beautiful unspoilt beaches on your doorstep
•Relax in the Ostan Gaoth Dobhair Leisure Centre
•Take a day trip to Tory Island or Gola Island.
•Climb Muckish and Errigal.
•Visit Glenveagh National Park, with 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, wood and bogs. Glenveagh contains the largest red deer population in Europe.  Within the National Park Glenveagh Castle and gardens are well worth a visit on their own
•Fish for salmon on the Clady river
•Find numerous peaceful roads, country lanes and mountain tracks to walk
