Rinn na Mara is a newly built 4 bedroom holiday home located in the popular holiday resort of Dunfanaghy in North Donegal. This beautifully furnished and decorated self catering accommodation has a wonderful location – it is 50 metres form Dunfanaghy golf links, 250 metres from the Blue Flag Killahoey Strand and literally only a few minutes walk from the centre of Dunfanaghy village. You could easily park your car up and leave it untouched for the length of you stay!

Dunfanaghy

Dunfanaghy itself is a vibrant seaside village with fine restaurants, friendly traditional pubs, craft shops and art galleries. It has an abundance of amenities for the visitor. Killahoey Beach is a mecca for water sports enthusiasts – swimmers, wind surfers and kite surfers. The golf course stretches along the length of the beach and provides a very good golf links challenge. Horse Riding is also available along the beach or among the quiet roads surrounding the town. 

Ideal Cycling and walking terrain

For the cycling enthusiast every turn offers a new and breathtaking experience. There is plenty of opportunities for walkers in this beautiful part of Donegal – coastal walks around the Horn Head Peninsula, woodland walks in the magnificent Ards Forest Park and hill walking in the North Donegal Highlands – Muckish Mountain provides a very scenic background to Dunfanaghy town.

Festivals

Dunfanaghy now has a well established Festival programme which runs throughout the year and includes a Seafood Festival, a Jazz and Blues Festival and a Halloween Madness Festival.

The Famine Centre in Dunfanaghy is a haunting evocation of the Great Famine of the 1840’s, housed in the original Workhouse and adjacent to the old Fever Hospital, which is now home to a local Art Gallery. Just outside the town is  New Lake, a wildlife sanctuary packed with different kinds of duck, geese and swans and a great spot for brown trout fishing too.

Living Space

  Kitchen

The beautifully crafted kitchen features creamed coloured units and modern appliances including dishwasher, microwave, electric oven, gas hob and fridge/freezer. The adjacent conservatory style dining area helps flood the kitchen with natural light. A washing machine and tumble dryer are located in an adjacent utility room.

  Living Room

The beautifully furnished and decorated living room is located to the front of the house and enjoys views over Dunfanaghy Golf Links. The room has a solid fuel stove, plasma television and hard wood floor.

  Bedrooms

The holiday home has luxury accommodation for up to 8 people. There are 4 double bedrooms - 2 on the ground floor and 2 on the first floor. The two first floor bedrooms have excellent ensuite facilities. They both have king sized beds, carpeted floor and enjoy views over the golf course. The 2 ground floor bedrooms have wood floors - 1 has views of the golf course and the other has a tv. The ground floor bedrooms are adjacent to the wet room

  Conservatory

The bright conservatory/ dining area in the holiday home features an elegant table and 8 chairs. Glass doors lead out to the driveway and to a shed which can be used to store golf clubs, bicycles or surfing gear.

Booking deposit (non-refundable) of euro100 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.
