
Ross Head Cottage is a large, spacious newly built bungalow style cottage situated on an elevation in the Glengad area of the spectacular Inishowen Peninsula, it has superb, views of the sea, and looking east, Culdaff Beach and the cliffs of Kinnegoe Bay are prominent. On clear days, the the islands of Jura and Islay off the coast of Scotland become visible.
About 15km away to the west, a short drive gets one to Irelands most northerly point at Malin Head. Further south into the peninsula, lie the towns of Carndonagh, Ballyliffin and Clonmany. The famous Ballyliffin Golf Club, with its old and new links would satisfy any golf enthusiast. In the same area, The Isle of Doagh Visitor Centre, with its outdoor museum of a replica 'famine village' set in 1840's Ireland is not to be missed. In late November and December, the centre transforms into 'Santa's Grotto' and is extremely popular with both young and old.
An early Christian 7th century stone cross is displayed in Carndonagh, and near Clonmany, the magnificent Glenevin Waterfall - which reveals itself after a pleasant walk through the nearby woodland. At the southern end of the peninsula, the 'Griannan of Aileach' a well preserved ancient stone ring fort looks out over the summit of a hill from which at least 4 counties are visible towards the south. To the north, one can see Lough Swilly and Lough Foyle and the city of Derry to the east.
A trip to the historical city of Derry is also recommended; - shopping, museums, cinema, theatre, historical buildings, restaurants, pubs, hotels and much more.
The large fully fitted kitchen and dining area:- Wood units, polished granite work top, polished stone tile floors. A gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, and microwave. The kitchen has lovely sea views from its front window, and also has an old traditional Stanley solid fuel stove, a TV & video and a comfortable leather couch. Leading off from the kitchen, is a separate utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities. A toilet and washbasin are in another, adjacent room.
The large and spacious living room, comfortably furnished with practical, leather bound couches. Warmth is provided by oil fired central heating or a unique stove positioned in the fireplace. Entertainment in the form of TV, DVD/CD with surround-sound. A Table Football Game is also provided, and can be found in the hallway. Spectacular sea views from the windows.
There are 4 bedrooms with enough space to sleep up to 8 people.
All bedrooms have wardrobes, chest of drawers etc;- plenty of storage space.

Ross Head Cottage has an amazing sea view frontage, the house is positioned facing in an easterly direction, with the cliffs of Kinnegoe Bay and the beach at Culdaff, visible to the right. Nearby is the Portaleen Pier fishing harbour, Glengad, Inishowen, Donegal

Congratulations on an absolutely wonderful site! I was going crazy researching availability on other sites - that did not state price, no. of rooms, bathroom facilities often (even after clicking three or four links) and also did not follow a pattern for each entry. Your site is delightful. I could go through all pages of entries and with the price details given immediately did not need to waste time over entries not within my budget.
