The cottage is situated in the mature woodland that surrounds the 4 star Rathmullan House Hotel. This hotel has the award winning Weeping Elm restaurant. The Cellar Bar in the hotel has excellent bar food. From the holiday chalet a very short walk through woodland brings you to the beautiful sandy Rathmullan beach. A 5 minute walk will bring you to the centre of Rathmullan village itself. The seaside resort of Rathmullan is now one of the most popular family holiday destinations in this beautiful part of Ireland. There is some first-rate restaurants in the locality in addition to lively and friendly pubs.

The beach extends for over 2 km and is safe for bathing. The village is
also steeped in history – the local Heritage Centre is based on The
Flight of the Earls. The 400th anniversary of this famous event will
be celebrated in 2007 with Rathmullan at the centre of the
commemorations. |
