The Sanctuary

Located on an elevated site on the Derry/Donegal border, The Sanctuary is the ideal base for your group or family holiday in the northwest. We offer 5 holiday homes and can accommodate up to 30 people (each home sleeps up to 6 people).

The many attractions of Inishowen including, the Guns of Dunree, Doagh Island famine Village and Greencastle Maritime Museum are with in easy driving distance - as are the magnificent links courses at Lisfannon and Ballyliffin.

Celtic Garden

The Sanctuary is adjacent to the Celtic Prayer Garden, a 6 acre site laid out in the shape of the island of Ireland which tells the story of the lives of the renowned saints of this country's Golden Age.The garden is a place of peace, set amid natural beauty which offers the visitor reflection time away from our modern, rushed daily lives.

Surrounding Area

With car ferries at Greencastle and Buncrana and proximity to Derry City and airport, The Sanctuary makes the ideal location for your family holiday along the north coast of Ireland.

Golf:

Inishowen is a golfer's paradise. Redcastle Golf Club has 9-hole parkland golf course in a stunning setting along the banks of Lough Foyle. Ballyliffin Golf Club has a 36 hole course and an ultra modern clubhouse overlooking both courses and the spectacular sunsets over Pollan Bay. There is also an 18 hole links golf course at Greencastle. All these courses are within easy driving distance of The Sanctuary

For a day trip you might decide to visit the historic city of Derry or take the ferry from nearby Greencastle and onwards to the Giant's Causeway or perhaps do the Inishowen 100, a wonderfully scenic drive around Ireland's most northerly peninsula.

Additional sleeping space is provided by sofa bed in living area

The spacious bathroom is adjacent to the 3 bedrooms and has a full size bath in addition to a shower enclosure.

Booking deposit (non-refundable) of euro100 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period
