Sarah's Townhouse - Rathmullan

A tastefully restored townhouse located in the popular family holiday resort of Rathmullan in North West Donegal. This deceptively spacious holiday rental features 3 bedrooms, a sitting room, a dining/living area and a fully equipped kitchen. It is ideally located to explore one of Irelands most beautiful regions.

Rathmullan

Within a 300 meters radius of the holiday home you have a fine sandy beach, a pier with a small marina, the Rathmullan to Buncrana car ferry, the Flight of the Earls Heritage Centre, a number of excellent pubs, a renowned local restaurant, a top class fish and chip shop, an antiques shop and a coffee shop. A major renovation of the beach front area is now completed.

A little further a field – but still within comfortable walking distance - you have the Golden Sands Equestrian Centre and two of Donegal's finest hotels – the Fort Royal Hotel and the Rathmullan House Hotel. Both of these hotels have excellent restaurants - the Cellar Bar in Rathmullan House does superb bar food.

Facilities

The townhouse itself has all the facilitates required to ensure an enjoyable self catering holiday experience. There are 3 bedrooms -2 on the first floor and 1 in an attic conversion. The bedrooms to the front of the house enjoy good sea views.
The village of Rathmullan is centrally located in North West Donegal which means that the cottage is ideally situated to discover this beautiful part of Ireland. During the summer months the Rathmullan to Buncrana car ferry brings the entire Inishowen peninsula within easy reach. Inishowen is one of the country's most beautiful yet unexplored regions.

Golf

For the golf enthusiast the townhouse is centrally located to play the great links courses of North Donegal. Portsalon Golf Club is 20 minutes along the breathtaking Knockalla coast road while the two championship courses at Rosapenna are just half an hours drive away. The car ferry brings the two superb courses at Ballyliffen within a 50 minutes journey from the townhouse.

Surrounding Area

The spectacular landscapes of the Fanad and Rosquil Peninsulas, the unspoilt Donegal Highlands, the magnificent Glenveagh National Park and the ancient and historic walled City of Derry are all with an hours drive of Sarah's.

The location of Rathmullan in North Donegal also means that it is an ideal base from which to enjoy some  of the major events that take place in this part of Ireland including the Donegal International Car Rally, the Earrigal Arts Festival.
