From the passage there are three front facing bedrooms, two rear facing bedrooms, the main bathroom, and a separate toilet at the west end of the passage. The east end of the passage connects to the main living room at the north east corner of the house, which in turn gives access to the dining room, kitchen, and a small utility room. The front lounge and the rear living room both have a fireplace. The bungalow has oil fired central heating and the windows are double glazed for added comfort. The kitchen has all the necessary mod-cons, and there is a TV with DVD and SKY reception. Two of the bedrooms also have wash basins. Outside, the property presents a neat appearance against the rugged surrounding natural landscape. The perimeter has a wooden fence, and a gated driveway has access to the road. The property is edged with grass, while the front and sides of the house are gravelled and the rear has cement paving. There is ample, secure parking and the house makes an ideal touring base from which to discover this unique part of Donegal. Just across the road and a little to the left of the house, are two ancient standing stones in the nearby field. One can only wonder at their purpose and origins. Sasha's is situated some 6km north west of Kilmacrennan and 9km south east of Creeslough, on a side road off the main N56 road from Letterkenny to the North West coastal areas of Donegal.
The holiday home sits in a small valley nestled between
Crockmore and
Loughsalt mountain.
Hill walkers will be thrilled with the location, and they will be well
rewarded with the views offered from a climb up the local hills. There
is also a secondary road which can be taken, past Lough Salt lake and on
through to Carrigart and the Rosguill Peninsula, which offers some
spectacular panoramic views of the lakes, mountains and coastline of
this part of Donegal. There are 3 pubs in the village: The Village Court, The Anglers Haven and The Millbridge, There are 3 churches in the Village: a Catholic Church and a Church of Ireland. There is also a Presbyterian Church in the town-land of Leiter about 3 miles from the village.
Nearby attractions include the
Glenveagh National Park
and The Dunlewy Centre at the foot of Mt Errigal. |
