Facing southwards, this lovely cottage takes full advantage of its sunny aspect - the kitchen/dining area has patio doors leading onto the front lawn and there are views of a little fishing pier below. The beach and Inver port are within walking distance and there is an Equestrian Centre nearby. This cottage, with its wonderful sea views, would make an ideal base for a family holiday in south Donegal.

This charming cottage is located on an elevated site and looks southward over the broad expanse of Donegal Bay. The panoramic sea view is quite simply stunning and can be enjoyed from the kitchen/dining area, living room and the master bedroom. Patio doors lead out from the kitchen to a patio area with large lawn and garden furniture - having a southerly aspect, the garden and patio area is perfect for alfresco dining and barbecues. Here you will see the gulls wheeling overhead or searching for food in the little harbour below.

Seagull Cottage is most defined by the generous living space, tranquility of setting and panoramic sea views from its elevated 0.50-acre site. The spacious kitchen-cum-dining is a pleasant, modern room in which to work and dine as it has sea views and direct access to the front garden and patio area. Both the living room with its natural stone open fireplace and main double bedroom have wonderful sea views over Donegal Bay. 

Here at Inver, in beautiful south Donegal, we know how to make holidays easy and relaxing - you will find self catering at its very best. Seagull cottage is a good place to stay to enjoy peace and tranquility in a seaside setting. It is also in an excellent location to explore the many attractions of County Donegal, most of which is within an hour’s drive.

Take the coast road from Seagull cottage, westwards through the villages of Kilcar and Carrick and onwards towards Glencolmcille, to experience some of the most breathtaking scenery Donegal has to offer. If you fancy a spot of fishing there are boats available for hire in Ireland’s largest fishing port, Killybegs, just a 15 min drive westwards along the coast. For the golf enthusiast both Murvagh and Portnoo golf courses are within half an hours drive.

No trip to the area would be complete with a visit to historic Donegal Town which is within 15 min drive time of Seagull Cottage. In summer months the town square with its central pedestrian area and brightly coloured floral baskets is a hive of activity. The square is overlooked by the Magee Shop, restaurants, tea rooms, local hotels and Donegal Castle itself can be found at the western approach. One of the best ways to see the town and its environs is to take the Water Bus which makes regular trips from a little jetty at the harbour area.
