This luxury holiday cottage is situated on the outskirts of  the popular seaside resort of Rathmullan in  North West Donegal. 100 meters from the front door of the cottage - along a tree lined road - is the entrance to Kinnegar Strand - a beautiful sandy beach that never gets too crowded - an ideal playground for children.

The cottage itself has all the facilities required to ensure an enjoyable self catering holiday experience. An especially attractive feature is the existence of two distinct living areas. The first is a large conservatory that contains a 3 piece furniture suite and a dining area. The second is a spacious first floor living room with a vaulted pine ceiling and wood burner stove. Both living areas have flat screen tv's and separate sky freeview satellite boxes. In addition the cottage has a large elevated wood decking area that overlooks the tree lined rear garden.

Sea Lane cottage overlooks the mature woodland that surrounds two of Rathmullan's landmark hotels - the 3 star Fort Royal Hotel and the 4 star Rathmullan House Hotel.  A  leisurely 10 minute walk from the cottage - by road or beach -  brings you into the heart of Rathmullan village. Rathmullan is now one of the most popular destinations in Donegal  for family holidays. In addition to a safe sandy beach the village has several fine restaurants and a choice of lively pubs. Pony trekking can be enjoyed at the Golden Sands Equestrian Centre. There are also two modern charter boats based at the local marina - these are used for both sea angling and sightseeing on Lough Swilly (The Lake of Shadows)

For the golf enthusiast Sea Lane Cottage is an ideal base to play the great links of North Donegal. Otway Golf Club is a 5 min drive while Portsalon Golf Club is 20 minutes along the spectacular Knockalla coast road. The two championship courses at Rosapenna are only half an hour away. During the summer months (June - September) the Rathmullan to Buncrana ferry brings the two superb courses at Ballyliffin within a 50 minutes journey from the cottage.

Sea Lane Cottage is also an ideal base to explore the natural beauty of North Donegal. Some of the best beaches in the country are in this area – including the magnificent blue flag beach at Portsalon and the wonderful Tramore Strand near Downings. The spectacular landscapes of the Fanad and Rosguil Peninsulas, the unspoilt Donegal Highlands, the magnificent Glenveagh National Park and the ancient and historic walled City of Derry are all with an hours drive of the cottage.
