Seaside Cottage, Bunbeg provides modern self-catering accommodation in a spectacular location. Located 100 metres from the golden sandy beaches of Magheraclocher close to Bunbeg Village, Gweedore, County Donegal. With its iconic ship wreck and breath taking views of the Atlantic Ocean and offshore islands, this is the ideal location to relax and unwind in the heart of the Donegal Gaeltacht.

This attractive 3 bed room holiday home can sleep up to 7 people in comfort. It is internally spacious with a separate living room, dining room, kitchen and separate utility room. The holiday home is located on the beach and is the perfect spot to enjoy a memorable family holiday in west Donegal.

A five minute stroll across the beach takes you to Óstán Gweedore with its newly refurbished Spa and Leisure Centre, The Silver Fox Lounge, The Sundowners Wine and Tapas Bar and the award winning Ocean Restaurant, specialising in seafood fresh from the nearby Atlantic Ocean.

Bunbeg

Bunbeg is located in the Gaeltacht area of north west Donegal where the Irish language is still very much alive. The area is home to such groups as Altan and Clannad whose music is imbued with the culture and traditions of the area. Bunbeg offers the visitor an ideal base from which to explore the islands and the surrounding countryside. The area is extremely well served with a variety of shops selling everything from the necessities to locally produced arts and crafts. As befits a small village, Bunbeg has a beautiful little harbour which is built in a sheltered enclave, where the Clady river enters the sea. This is an idyllic holiday location, rich in heritage, culture and a Céad Míle Fáilte unmatched elsewhere.

• Visit Dunlewey Lakeside Centre - Facilities include restaurant, tea-room, craft shop,  adventure play areas, pets & animals, storytelling, boat trips on Dunlewey Lake, guided tours and weaving demonstrations.

• Enjoy beautiful unspoilt beaches on your doorstep

• Relax in the Ostan Gaoth Dobhair Leisure Centre

• Take a day trip to Tory Island , Inishbofin or Gola Island. The ferry service to Tory Island is available from Bunbeg and Magheraroarty several times a day - weather permitting

• Climb Muckish and Errigal. Mount Errigal, the highest mountain in Donegal is a demanding climb and once on the summit you can see for miles around.

• Visit Glenveagh National Park, with 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, wood and bogs. Glenveagh contains the largest red deer population in Europe.  Within the National Park Glenveagh Castle and gardens are well worth a visit on their own

• Fish for salmon on the Clady river

• Find numerous peaceful roads, country lanes and mountain tracks to walk

  Beach View

The cottage is located directly opposite Bunbeg beach. A five minute stroll across the beach will take you to Ostan Gweedore with its fully equipped Spa and Leisure Centre.

The living room is located to the front of the house and features an open fireplace (turf supplied). This room is equipped with tv and dvd.

Booking Details

Booking deposit (non-refundable) of euro100 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.

• check in 4pm, check out 11am

• rental Sat – Sat except by special arrangement

• €100 security deposit required to secure booking and to cover breakages. All going well this will be returned upon your departure.
• 10% discount for OAPs January-March

• discounts can be negotiated where your stay is more than 2 weeks
