Sheephaven Cottage - Downings

This wonderful modern holiday home is situated on a level 0.75 acre site on the scenic Atlantic Drive. It enjoys views of Sheephaven Bay and the surrounding countryside, and is just one mile from the fishing village of Downings, which is renowned for its excellent golf and water sport facilities, not to mention its welcoming traditional pubs, such as the popular Harbour Bar and The Singing Pub. The house itself is bright, spacious and comfortable and is ideal for entertaining, or for a quiet family holiday.

Inside the house the emphasis is on space, light, and comfort. The downstairs is mainly open-plan, with a bright, airy feel. The four bedrooms are generously proportioned and provide excellent family accommodation.

Situated in Derryhassen, on the main Atlantic Drive route, this house is ideal for anyone who enjoys the great outdoors. Beautiful scenic walks through rugged farmland and coastline are quite literally on your doorstep. Step out the door and turn right, and 20 minutes later you could be in the Harbour Bar enjoying an excellent pint of Guinness in front of a turf fire, turn left and lose yourself in the beautiful Rosguill peninsula.

Golfing Holidays

Golfers are well catered for, with the top quality Old Tom Morris Golf Course and the new Sandy Hills Links Course at the Rosapenna Hotel only 3km away. Water sports enthusiasts will find Downings beach a windsurfing and kayaking paradise, whilst the Mevagh Dive Centre is in nearby Carrigart. Also in Carrigart is the Carrigart Horse Riding Centre.
