The Shore Front - Redcastle

As its name suggests, this truly superb, luxury holiday home is located at the water's edge on the western shore of Lough Foyle. The extensive deck area to the front takes full advantage of the panoramic sea views - its loungers and outdoor furniture makes an ideal alfresco dining/living area. Watch the family of seals playing on the rocks just below or simply relax in this spectacular setting.

The interior of the house is equipped and furnished to the highest standards. Each of the four bedrooms face the sea (two have balconies) The main living room has a full-length glazed wall - here you can relax on the indoor loungers and gaze towards the mouth of the lough and beyond to the Atlantic Ocean.

Local Attractions

Take a walk from the deck area, down the wooden steps to the seashore and explore the rockpools at low tide. Further along you'll find the ruins of the old "Red Castle" and by way of contrast, the modern, 4 star Carlton Redcastle Hotel with its parkland golf course. Adjacent to the hotel you'll find Leisureland - an adventure indoor playground for kids with ball pool, dodgems etc.

Surrounding Area

Redcastle enjoys a scenic and strategic location on the western shore of Lough Foyle, about 10 miles from the Historic Walled City of Derry. There are  panoramic views eastwards across the waters of the lough to Binevenagh mountain in north Co. Derry. A short drive northwards takes you to the seaside village of Moville. A little beyond that is the fishing village of Greencastle. Here you can catch the car ferry for the pleasant crossing to Magilligan on the eastern bank. From here you can explore the coastline of Northen Ireland and pay a visit to the Giant's Causeway.

Golf: Inishowen is a golfer's paradise. Redcastle Golf Club has 9-hole parkland golf course in a stunning setting along the banks of Lough Foyle. Ballyliffin Golf Club has a 36 hole course and an ultra modern clubhouse overlooking both courses and the spectacular sunsets over Pollan Bay. There is also an 18 hole links golf course at Greencastle, just 5 miles away.

The kitchen is located to the front of the house and has extra large glazed doors which lead directly to the magnificent wood deck area (its like being on a ship!)
Functional, with a central island unit, shaker style walnut wood presses, integrated appliances and a feature American-style fridge, the kitchen also has that heart-of-the-home feel and is furnished with a contemporary dining table and chairs.

  Living Room

The living room features solid walnut flooring, a stone built open fireplace, le Corbusier style lounger, sumptuous oversize suite and a dual-aspect glazed wall which affords panoramic views over the lough and beyond to the Atlantic Ocean.
The Shore Front was created very much with abundant space in mind, with open plan living areas, high ceilings and apex windows taking in panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and Lough Foyle

  Bedrooms

The Shore Front has 4 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 8 people. All bedrooms are extra spacious and have superb sea views. All rooms are delightfully furnished with luxury high quality bedlinen, together with sumptuous duck & goose down duvets. The ground floor double bedroom has a Provencal style, king size bed. There is a bathroom adjacent to this bedroom.

There are 3 bedrooms on the upper floor, one ensuite - the other two share a bathroom.

  Luxury Bathroom

The master, upper floor bedroom has a large ensuite. A unique feature is the clear glazed panel just above the bath which allows superb views over Lough Foyle.This is a wonderful spot in which to luxuriate

Tariff

Booking Details

Booking deposit (non-refundable) of 50% payable on confirmation of reservation - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.

€300 security deposit to cover loss or damage, breakages etc. payable on payment of 2nd instalment. The €300 security will be refunded by post to the client within 2 weeks of departure, assuming there is no loss or damage. On departure, the house, equipment and utensils must be left in a clean and tidy condition

If the the chosen week falls across two differently priced periods, the charge will be for whichever month contains the largest part of the week.
