Sunset Cottage - Ballyliffin

Sunset Cottage, situated at the  Aughrim Heights complex in beautiful Ballyliffin, uniquely  enjoys sea views to the rear from the conservatory, and spectacular hill views to the front. a light and spacious comfortable home, with 3 bedrooms to sleep 6 adults, 2 with en-suite bathrooms and the downstairs bed having wheel chair access. A fully fitted kitchen,  conservatory and open plan entrance hall adjoining the kitchen, dining area, and upstairs landing. Close to all the amenities of  Ballyliffin and yet in a quiet and peaceful location, you will enjoy staying here.

Locally, the attractions and activities around Ballyliffin, can not be mentioned without including Golf and the Isle of Doagh Famine Village.

The famous Ballyliffin Golf Club has 2 links and a newly built modern clubhouse, attracts golfers from everywhere and hosts major tournaments.

The Isle of Doagh Famine Village is an outdoor museum  with replica buildings of Ireland in the 1840s during the great famine, - when so many died or emigrated, well worth a visit, but thats not all. - in the summer months during July and August, one can enjoy dancing and traditional music performed by local artists. In December, the Centre transforms into Santas village and is especially enjoyed by the young and not so young too.

Walking

Hill walking is an activity ideally suited to the area, where one need not go too far to find fabulous walks, whether along the beaches or up in the hills.

Sightseeing is something that the Inishowen peninsula is famous for, with its spectacular Inishowen 100 drive. One can start this drive from any point and return there, as it follows a circuitous route around the whole peninsula.

At nearby Clonmany, a pleasant walk through a recently restored pathway brings one to the Glenevin Waterfall.

From Clonmany, along the scenic road to Drumfries one can visit the Glendowen Craft Studio and shop, where handcrafted garments in Donegal Tweed may be purchased.

A separate utility room off the kitchen has the washer-dryer, iron, ironing-board and vacuum.

  Living Room

A large and spacious living room with an adjoining conservatory to be furnished.
Leather bound seating, a traditional style open fireplace, wood flooring, a TV, DVD and sound system for your comfort and entertainment. There are sea views from the house.

  3 Bedrooms

There are 3 bedrooms to sleep 6 adults.
a. The Master has a king size bed, a cot, a large walk in wardrobe and an en-suite.
b. The 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds.
c. The 3rd bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite. It is on the ground floor, and would be suitable for use by the elderly or wheelchair users.

  3 Bathrooms

The main bathroom has a bath, toilet and washbasin.
The 2 en-suites are each fitted with a shower, toilet and wash basin.
