Surfers Delight Cottage - Rossnowlagh

The Rossnowlagh “Surfers Delight” Holiday Home is truly your luxury home from home.  Sleeping up to 8 people in four bedrooms, this luxury home in one of the nicest parts of Donegal boasts three showers (two of which are in ensuite upstairs bedrooms).  The elevated deck area outside allows you to enjoy glorious sea views while you dine.  The standard of décor is very high and  features timber floors upstairs. The 2 storey-high ceiling with large feature window in the living/dining area is fantastic.

Surrounding Area

The house is situated in the heart of Rossnowlagh - 'The Heavenly Cove'.  This beautiful area boasts one of the premier beaches in Ireland. We are just 5 miles north of Ballyshannon and 10 miles south of Donegal Town, The 4km beach has fantastic views of the Donegal Bay coastline.

Rossnowlagh Beach, just a few minutes walk away, is popular for all kinds of water sports, board sailing, surfing and water skiing. The magnificent beach provides ideal conditions for safe bathing (with lifeguard patrols), walking, jogging and the invigorating fresh sea air. Close by, the Franciscan Friary is very popular and is well worth a visit.  The local Sand House Hotel and the famous award winning Smugglers Creek bar and restaurant are both within  walking distance.
 
Rossnowlagh is an ideal base to tour the North West of Ireland. The beautiful beaches and coastline of South Donegal are on you doorstep. Within a half hours drive you also have the wonderful ‘Yeats Country’ in Sligo and the majestic Fermanagh Lakelands.

Surfing Rossnowlagh has some of the best surfing in the world and the European Championships have been held here a number of times
Golf - superb 18 hole links courses in Murvagh, near Donegal Town and Bundoran
Creevy Pier - for tours of Donegal Bay, including, Slieve League - the highest sea cliffs in Europe.
Horse-Riding There are several horse-riding and trekking establishments in the area where you can enjoy an afternoon on horseback, riding through some of Ireland's most beautiful scenery.
Walking - Top class walks. The Creevy Shore Walk is a purpose built coastal footpath 10 miles in length running from Rossnowlagh through Creevy to the mouth of the Erne Estuary. There is also some excellent long distance walks such as the Blue Stack Way and Baile na Gaeltachta [the Gaeltacht Way].
Cycling South Donegal abounds with small, winding roads which offer spectacular views around every corner and are ideal for cycling.
Angling - anglers can sample game, coarse and sea angling with sea angling boats available for local chartering.

The spacious kitchen/living/dining area is located to the front of the house and features a large feature window.  The modern kitchen area is complemented by a large dining table at the feature window together with a sofa bed for extra space.

The living room is located to the front of the house, has an open fireplace and is filled with light from the patio doors and the window. It is furnished with a luxury suite comprising a three seater and two single seaters. For entertainment there is tv with sky satellite.

Booking Details

Booking deposit of euro100 per week refundable at end of stay - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.

Damage deposit of euro100 to be refunded when house has been vacated
