The cottage is within 3 minutes walk of Rathmullan's fabulous beach, a 3km crescent of sand on the western shores of Lough Swilly. This is one of the finest beaches in Donegal and is a favourite walking place for locals and tourists alike. A short stroll along this beach takes you to the pier and marina where you can hire a boat for a fishing or pleasure trip on the lough or perhaps catch the ferry to Buncrana on the other side.
