Teach Claggan - Fanad

Teach Claggan is a luxury chalet residence on an elevated site, with magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and lakes.
It boasts a large conservatory and an upper floor veranda with views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Situated five miles from the Fanad lighthouse, it affords great lake fishing, surfing,(Adventure One Surf School at the beach) golf, cycling or just leisurely walks on Ballyhieran Beach, a little over five minutes walk away. A shop, post office, bar or restaurant are all just a three to four minutes drive away.

Teach Claggan is in the heart of the Donegal Gaeltacht, close to the villages of Rosnakil and Tamney and seven miles from Portsalon with it’s 18 hole golf course.

The Historic towns of Rathmullan and Ramelton lead you on to the county town of Letterkenny, forty minutes drive away.
The ancient city of Derry, the oldest intact walled city in Europe is only an hour’s drive.

Living Space

  kitchen

The kitchen-dining room is situated in the centre of house, with panoramic lake and mountain views, it features a ceramic tiled floor, and leads to a fully equipped utility room.

The fully fitted kitchen has an electric ceramic hob and oven, a dishwasher, microwave, and  fridge-freezer.  The separate utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, and there is an outside clothes line. The dining area has a table with six chairs, and there is an additional fold out table with two chairs.

  living room

The living room is located to the front of the house, has a wood burning stove and enjoys panoramic views over the lakes and mountains. It is elegantly furnished and features a semi solid oak wood floor.
There is a TV with DVD as well as a CD-radio-stereo.

A large sunroom or conservatory, leads off the sitting room, with panoramic lake and mountain views.

Outside.
There is an outside patio area with a picnic table, a garden shed, - which can be used, and a garage which is private., and lovely lake and mountain views.

There are five bedrooms to sleep up to ten.
Bedroom 1. The main upstairs bedroom with French doors leading to an outside balcony with views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Bedroom 2. Double bed en-suite on ground floor.
Bedroom 3. Double bed on ground floor with lake and mountain views.
Bedroom 4. Two single beds on first floor with lake and mountain views.
Bedroom 5. Two bunks with TV and lake and mountain views.

  bathrooms

1. Bathroom featuring Jacuzzi bath and separate shower on upper floor.
2. Shower room on ground floor with electric shower.
3. En-suite in bedroom 2.

Tariff

Booking Details

Non-refundable booking deposit of euro100 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.

• We have a damage deposit policy of 300 euro refundable within 2 weeks of the end of your holiday

• Although we welcome pets, we do not allow them in the house.

• The garden shed is available for housing your pet.
