Teach Cois Sruthán is a Superb 4 bedroom modern holiday home situated on a large private site in a peaceful location outside the quaint seaside villages of Carrigart and Downings. With spectacular views of Sheephaven bay and the Atlantic ocean this holiday home is an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful coast and highlands of north west Donegal. 

The House

Teach Cois Sruthán is situated on a private site enjoying breath taking views of Sheephaven Bay to the south and of Muckish Mountain to the west. It is a newly built holiday home with comfortable, modern fittings and furniture. It is an ideal base from which to explore the many beautiful attractions in North West Donegal and to return home in the evening to watch the sun set over the Bay in front of a warm, crackling fire.  

The Local Area

Teach Cois Sruthán is 0.5km from Carrigart village, 2km from the seaside village of Downings and 10km from the enchanting Ards Forest Park. Horse riding, golf, scuba diving, surfing, body boarding and hill walking are some of the many activities that can be enjoyed. A nearby indoor dive centre and a swimming pool with indoor soft play area are within easy driving distance. Local festivals are popular during the holiday season and are a enjoyable way to get a feel for the local culture, food and heritage.

Local Activities and Attractions

• Golf at nearby Rosapenna Golf Club – featuring two classic 18 hole links course. Other superb courses in the general locality include Dunfanaghy and Portsalon
• Enjoy beautiful unspoilt beaches on your doorstep –  Tramore Strand, Tra na Rossan, Downings, Melmore
• Enjoy diving in the clear waters of Mulroy Bay and Sheephaven Bay
• Take a trip around the spectacular Atlantic Drive and Lough Salt Drive
• Visit Glenveagh National Park, with 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, wood and bogs. Glenveagh contains the largest red deer population in Europe. Within the National Park Glenveagh Castle and gardens are well worth a visit on their own
• Find numerous peaceful roads, country lanes and mountain tracks to walk.
• Climb Muckish and Errigal. Mount Errigal, the highest mountain in Donegal is a demanding climb and once on the summit you can see for miles around.
• Take a day trip to Tory Island

The spacious modern kitchen is located to the rear of the house and leads into the dining sun room. Sliding doors lead from the dining area to a south facing patio.

The large sun room doubles as a dining and social/family entertaining area. Sliding patio doors lead to the south facin patio. The rear garden has a swing.

  Living Room

The living room is located to the front and back of the house, has a large open stone fireplace and enjoys panoramic views of Sheephaven bay. It is elegantly furnished with comfortable, modern furnishings and features a pitch pine floor.

Booking deposit (non-refundable) of euro100 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.
