Teach Dara is a lovely, high quality cottage with 3 bedrooms, fully fitted kitchen, 2 luxury bathrooms (1 ensuite), stone fireplace and wooden floors throughout. The cottage is in the small development of Clara Meadows which is just 100m from the heart of Dunfanaghy. Dunfanaghy is one of the most popular holiday destinations along the North Donegal coast and is situated on Sheephaven Bay. Dunfanaghy with its range of small shops, galleries, selection of pubs and cafes and local hotels provides an ideal base for a holiday in the North-west of Ireland.

This area of Donegal offers a great choice of fine beaches. Killyhoey Strand is a 5 min stroll away from Teach Dara and Marble Hill and Tramore Strands are a short drive away. A little further afield is the scenic Atlantic Drive and the wild beauty of Bloody Foreland. Horn Head in Dunfanaghy is probably the most dramatic of the beautiful Donegal peninsulas. Mountain Climbing and hill walking are popular in this spectacular landscape with Errigal, Muckish and the Derryveagh mountains within easy reach. Ards Forest Park and Glenveigh National Park are within 30mins drive from Dunfanaghy.

Windsurfing, waterskiing, scuba-diving, canoeing and sailing are all available locally and horse riding is available from the local stables in Dunfanaghy offering treks for various abilities (in the main season).

For the golf enthusiast, there are four 18-hole golf courses in the vicinity : Dunfanaghy Golf Club, two at Rosapenna and one in Carrigart. There is a 9 -hole course in Gweedore.

Booking Details

Please telephone or email for availability

Deposit required to secure booking is 150 euro or 100 sterling. This booking deposit will be retained as a damage deposit and will be returned in full, assuming the property is left in the condition in which it was found.

• Payment in full required 6 weeks prior to booking

• rental is Sat - Sat except by special arrangement

• check out 12 noon, check in 4.30 pm

• house to be left as found, if not an hourly cleaning charge will be deducted from the damage deposit at €25 per hour
