
An Teach More is a large comfortable holiday home situated near Derryconnor in North West Donegal. Form its elevated site it enjoys superb panoramic views of the majestic mountains in this part of Donegal - from Muckish right through to Errigal. The fabulous beach at Magheroarty is a pleasant walk - or short drive - from the holiday home.
The holiday home has comfortable accommodation for up to 16 people. This makes it suitable - and very good value - for a large extended family, two or more families sharing or a group of hill walkers / ramblers who like to be be based in a tranquil setting that is surrounded by beautiful mountain and coastal walks.
Within the holiday home there are two separate living rooms - a large sitting room with a range as a focal point and a more formal living room with superb views of the mountains outside, A large dining room features a purpose built dining table that can seat 10 people comfortably. An added attraction of the holiday home is the Children's Playround which features a climbing frame, sand pit, swings, slide and monkey bars.
A 5 minute drive from the front door of the holiday home will have you down at Magheroarty Pier. At the pier there are regular ferries to both Inishbofin (10 minute boat trip) and to Tory. Tory is a bird watchers' paradise, with its towering cliffs rich in so many different forms of bird life. Tory island is also home to the renowned Tory school of painters, one of whom is the King of Tory, Patsy Dan Rodgers
Both Tory and Inisbofin are Irish speaking islands. Indeed the holiday home itself is located in the heart of one of Donegal's main Gaeltacht area - enabling the visitor to absorb the culture and heritage of this unique region where Irish is still the main everyday language.
All around the holiday home you will find rugged peninsulas, clean beaches and towering mountains. The holiday home is an ideal base for those who want to undertake the famous Glover Highlander Walk - a walk that includes Muckish and Errigal and all peaks in between.
Take a trip around the spectacular Bloody Foreland
Enjoy beautiful unspoilt beaches in the locality - at Magheroarty itself and at nearby Falcarragh
Golf at Falcarragh, Gweedore and Dunfanaghy - all within a half hours drive of the holiday home
Visit Dunlewey Lakeside Centre - Facilities include restaurant, tea-room, craft shop, adventure play areas, pets & animals, storytelling, boat trips on Dunlewey Lake, guided tours and weaving demonstrations.
Take a day trip to Tory Island or Inishboffin Island. The ferry service to Tory Island is available from Derryconnor several times a day - weather permitting
Climb Muckish and Errigal. Mount Errigal, the highest mountain in Donegal is a demanding climb and once on the summit you can see for miles around.
Visit Glenveagh National Park, with 16,000 hectares of mountains, lakes, wood and bogs. Glenveagh contains the largest red deer population in Europe. Within the National Park Glenveagh Castle and gardens are well worth a visit on their own
Find numerous peaceful roads, country lanes and mountain tracks to walk. Slí an Earagail - a Bealach na Gaeltachta Waymarked Way - passes through the locality
The holiday home has 2 separate living areas. The first is a large sitting room which has a cooker and range as a focal point. Double doors lead from this room into the spacious dining room which features a purpose built dining table that can accommodate 10 people comfortably. Also adjacent to the sitting room is a fitted kitchen with modern conveniences including microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washing machine
