Templemoyle Cottage - Culdaff

Templemoyle Cottage is a modern 4 bedroom holiday home set in a peaceful location just outside the popular family beach resort of Culdaff in north east Inishowen. The holiday home is also just 4.5km from picturesque Malin Town, 12km from the internationally renowned Ballyliffin Golf Club and 16 km from Malin Head – Irelands most northerly point. It is an ideal base to explore the beautiful Inishowen Peninsula and the ancient and historic walled city of Derry (35km)

Culdaff - A Popular Family Beach Resort

With its superb Blue Flag beach Culdaff is one of the main seaside resorts on the Inishowen Peninsula.  The beach is popular with swimmers, walkers, kite flyers and water sports of all kinds. There are surfing and kayaking lessons available on the beach during the holiday season. The Inishowen Boating Company operates 2 purpose built fast charter boats from Bunagee Pier at the north end of Culdaff Beach. These fully licenced vessels offer sea angling and sight seeing on Lough Foyle. 

McGrorys of Culdaff

Within the town, the main attraction is without doubt - McGrorys. A pub, restaurant, hotel and music venue, - with fine food, good service and great craíc. The establishment has been going since 1924, and its Macs Backroom Bar is an essential part of the itinerary of many international and national musicians touring Ireland. The front bar is one of the finest pubs in Inishowen, with its natural stonework, rugged beams, and a warm, welcoming, open fire blazing in the corner on a cold winters night. It is a regular attraction throughout the year, with traditional Irish music sessions every Tuesday and Friday, featuring some of Donegals finest traditional musicians.

• Go pony trekking from a number of AIRE approved Equestrian Centres in and around Malin Town
• Play a round of golf at internationally renowned Ballyliffin Golf Club. Other fine golf courses on the Inishowen Peninsula can be found at Greencastle, Buncrana and Redcastle.
• Visit the newly renovated Isle of Doagh Famine Village near Ballyliffin. This wondeful attraction depicts life in Donegal at different stages throughout history in an informative and enjoyable tour
• Visit the Fort and Military Museum at Dunree.
• Take a trip around the famous Inishowen 100 This is one of Ireland's most scenic drives. The route includes dramatic coastal scenery plus a fine collection of ancient forts and monuments, traditional craft centres, and a dozen or so friendly villages. Scenic highlights include the Gap of Mamore, and Malin Head -  Ireland's most northerly point
• Visit the Inishowen Maritime Museum in Greencastle, which includes a state-of-the-art planetarium
• Visit the historic walled City of Derry (30km) – UK City of Culture 2013
• Use the Greencastle to Magilligan Ferry to explore the northern coast of Northern Ireland . The Giants Causeway, Bushmills Distillery, the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and Dunluce Castle are just some of the top attractions in this area.
• Visit the town of Buncrana, with its much photographed Castle Bridge, Vaughan House, ODohertys Keep, and a popular ferry service across Lough Swilly to Rathmullan. Operates in the Summer only.
• Visit the ancient ring fort or Rath known as the Griannan of Aileach, which overlooks the southern edge of the Inishowen Peninsula, offering sweeping 360degree panoramic views, with 4 counties visible on a clear day.

The holiday home has a large and bright open plan area with living and dining spaces. The living area is comfortably furnished and has a natural wood floor and gas effect fireplace. The dining area has and elegant dining table and 6 chairs. Double glass doors lead out to a private garden with a sheltered patio area. The patio area has wooden garden furniture.

  Kitchen

The holiday home has a modern fitted kitchen with tiled floor. Appliances available include an electric oven with gas hobs, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. A washing machine and tumble dryer are also available. The kitchen includes another dining area with a table and 6 chairs.
