The nearby fishing village of Glengad
has a long association with the sea. It looks out over the Atlantic
Ocean with views of Inishtrahull and Rathlin Islands and further out to
sea to the western islands of Scotland. In the immediate area and within 20 minutes drive time there is a superb 18 hole links course at Ballyliffin, the Famine Village at Doagh Island and the renowned music venue, McGrory's of Culdaff. The village of Malin, twice winner of the National Tidy Towns Competition, is a 10 minute drive away. Ireland's most northerly point, Malin Head, is a 10 minute drive to the north. A new cycleway will soon link the local area with other parts of Inishowen and southwards to the historic city of Derry.
