The Pans - Carrigart

The Pans holiday cottage is located on an elevated site overlooking Mulroy Bay and has truly superb views over the surrounding countryside and beyond to the hills of the Fanad Peninsula. The cottage is within easy driving distance of the popular seaside villages of Carrigart and Downings and makes an ideal touring base for a family holiday in this beautiful part of north Donegal.

For the golf enthusiast, the links courses at Portsalon and Rosapenna are among the finest in the country. Just outside the village of Milford which is a short drive from Cranford, is one of Donegal's finest trout waters, Lough Fern. For the sea angler, boat hire and regular arranged fishing trips are available at Rathmullan and Downings.

Carrigart

Carrigart (7km from The Pans) is located on the north coast of Donegal on the Rosguill peninsula between the inlets of Mulroy Bay and Sheephaven Bay. This lovely village is an ideal centre for exploring the magnificent scenery of the adjoining coast and is convenient to Glenveigh National Park.

Downings

Downings (9km from The Pans) is a lovely seaside village located amid the spectacular scenery of north Donegal. The village is blessed with superb beaches and has fine views across Sheep Haven Bay to the Ards peninsula (with the remains of Ard House on the point of the peninsula) and the distant flat-topped peak of Muckish. It has a long standing tradition of tweed making and fishing.
