This split level house is located in the heart of Derrybeg village in the Gaoth Dobhair Gaeltacht. There are
breathtaking views of the Atlantic ocean and some of the local Islands such as Inis Meain from this house. The house is within
walking distance to Port Arthur beach which is fantastic for
swimming and taking long leisurely walks.
The first floor consists of a large spacious kitchen with a turf burning range. The sitting room has a large bay window that over looks a balcony. There are two bedrooms and a master bedroom on this level. The bathroom contains a
Jacuzzi.
The second floor has two large double bedrooms, and a wash room. There is also a large spare room that can be used as a play area. Tigh cois Farraigh is within walking distance to all the local amenities, such as shops banks hairdressers, beautician’s pubs and eateries. There is a good selection of
restaurants in the area such as Ostan Gweedore which has an award winning sea restaurant and
Teach Jack in Glassagh being well worth a visit. Traditional music sessions can be found in the local pubs nightly.
There is a wide range of activities to be enjoyed in the area such as golfing,
hill walking, fishing (freshwater and deep sea) and trips to the islands.The local leisure centre has a gymnasium and swimming pool.
Places of interest to visit are Glenveagh National Park and Castle, Ionad cois locha in Dunlewy is ideal for children as it has boat trips on the lake and sports events. .
Errigal mountain and the Poision Glen are only a 10 minute drive away and are well worth visiting for the
glorious scenery.
Getting to Tigh Cois Farraigh
Fly directly to Carrickfinn Airport from Dublin, Glasgow Preswick- hire a car at the airport – 25 minute drive to Tigh Cois Farraigh.
London/Stanstead to City of Derry Airport- hire car at airport- 1hr45min drive to house from Derry.
Daily buses from Dublin and Galway.
