Tir na nOg Cottages are two superb modern

catering holiday homes that are located on a hillside 2km from the
popular holiday village of Carrigart in North West Donegal.
Form their elevated site the cottages enjoys truly spectacular views
- views that include Mulroy and Sheephaven Bays, Horn Head and the
Rosguill and Fanad Peninsulas.
The holiday homes are designed to take
full advantage of the superb local scenery - every room to
the front of the houses enjoys wonderful sea views. The large windows in
the open plan living area offer a breathtaking panoramic view of the
North West Donegal Coastline.
The
village of Carrigart - and the nearby village of Downings - are
popular seaside resorts with lively pubs and good restaurants. Carrigart
is situated on the beautiful
Rosguill Peninsula.
The natural landscape of this peninsula provides the basis for
many of the activities that the visitor can enjoy. In addition to an
abundance of golden sandy beaches there are many water based activities - including windsurfing
and kite surfing, deep sea diving, sea
angling and boat charters. There is also horse riding and hill walking.
The
Magherabeg Leisure Centre is located in Downings and features a
swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and gym.
Within 4 km of the holiday homes there are
two superb championship golf links at Rosapenna - the
Old Tom Morris Course and the recently opened Sandy Hills
Course. Within half an hours drive of the cottage there are two
more challenging links courses – Portsalon and Dunfanaghy.
The holiday homes
are ideally located to tour the wonderful scenery of North Donegal.
The renowned
Atlantic Drive
is a short drive away.
This is a scenic drive starting in Downings and continuing around the
Rosguil Peninsula. In the locality you also have the spectacular
Lough Salt Drive.
A little further afield you have beautiful and varied coastal landscapes
in such areas as Bloody Foreland, Horn Head, the Rosses and the Fanad
Peninsula. Moving inland you have the majestic and unspoilt Donegal
Highlands where the magnificent Glenveagh National Park is
located
