This newly built holiday home accommodates 8 people comfortably. From its elevated one acre site it holds a commanding view of the lakes, beaches and Atlantic Ocean. The cottage is within one mile of beautiful sandy beaches, the local church, convenience store, pub and restaurant.

Toome is an unspoilt, scenic and tranquil area of the Fanad Peninsula. It is ideal for fishing, golf, swimming, surfing, walking, cycling or just plain relaxing. It provides an ideal base for touring the immediate area and beyond to the Inishowen and Rosguil peninsulas.

The ground floor of the cottage is wheelchair friendly. The wheelchair facilities include:-
-spacious for manoeuvrability
-no steps to negotiate
-wide doors
-light switches and sockets at appropriate heights

The cottage is located 7 miles from the village of Portsalon which has a magnificent blue flag beach and a challenging 18 hole golf links. Just along the coast from Portsalon are the superb Ballydaheen Gardens. These are English and Japanese style gardens that slope down to the shores of Lough Swilly.

A short drive along the coast takes you to Fanad Head where Lough Swilly meets the wild Atlantic Ocean. This is the location of Fanad Lighthouse. From the lighthouse grounds you can see the rugged sea cliffs of Dunaff Head across the bay.

The cottage is well placed too for some spectacular  beaches noted for the glorious golden sands. There is a surf school which operates from the beach just below the cottage. Hill walkers will discover in the area a vast network of bog roads and mountain tracks to explore.

Toome Cottage is an ideal base to explore the natural beauty of the unspoilt Fanad Peninsula.
