Hello and welcome to Trearty Cottage. This is a superb newly built property nestled into the countryside setting of Carrigart. The property has been designed to make maximum use of the communal spaces with a large through living / dining room with double bi-fold doors opening up the kitchen space. It also boasts an impressive entertainment room complete with all “mod” cons associated with a home bar area! It is ideal for larger family groups or even two separate families saving even more on the already great value prices.

Carrigart and its surroundings, I believe has something for everyone. If you just want to come and get away from it all this is the place to be with peace, tranquillity, beautiful coastal scenery and fantastic beach and countryside walks all at hand. There are some great drives to explore including the Atlantic drive, Lough Salt drive, which are only minutes away.

Further a field you have the Glenveigh National Park with it’s red deer and glorious setting is ideal for picnics. Doe Castle and Ards Forest Park is well worth a look. For the more adventurous you have Muckish and Errigal mountains to climb, Meavagh Diving centre which is just up the road from the house! Quad biking, go-karting, paint balling are all within easy reach. Deep sea and fresh water fishing is all on your doorstep. If golf is your thing you have three links courses on hand in The Rossapenna and St Patrick’s with even more, a bit further away in Portsalon, Dunfanaghy and Letterkenny.

And what about the Craic, in Carrigart you have The Hotel bar, The North Star and Logues all offering varied entertainment through high season. In Downings you have the Bay Hotel bar and disco serving late license, Tramore Inn and The Harbour bar with great views of the beaches and surrounding countryside. The famous “Singing Pub” locally known, as the Thatch is just around the Atlantic Drive with great bar food and regular music nights. The equally famous Glen Bar is an amazing place to meet people from all over the world with regular Saturday night music sessions, where all are welcome to join in, is a must.
