Waterchase is a four bedroom self catering holiday home with four bedrooms to sleep up to nine. From the front, its compact appearance belies the spacious interior.
On entering, one finds a comfortable lounge to the left and a ground floor bedroom to the right. In front, the staircase to the upstairs bedrooms. Further down the passage, the main bathroom on the right, and a large fully equipped kitchen and dining area to the rear of the house. Double French Doors allow access to the yard, and there is also a small utility room.
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and another separate bathroom. The master bedroom has its own en-suite.
Outside, a neat patch of lawn separates the front of the house from the street. At the rear of the house, one finds an enclosed, fenced backyard, with a small patio area, and there is a garage for secure parking.
The cottage is situated in the Doonwood complex just north of Buncrana, in a cul-de-sac close to the banks of the Crana River. It is a quiet and peaceful location and an ideal touring base.
Fully insulated, double glazed and centrally heated, Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all included. Suitable for larger families or groups, this lovely home from home has all you will need to make your stay an experience you will want to repeat.
The town of Buncrana is a mere ten minute walk away, and you will find a choice of shops, supermarkets, pubs, banks, restaurants, and other service providers and retailers to satisfy your needs.
A four minute walk should get you to the nearby Tullyarvan Mill, - a renovated picturesque 19th century corn mill situated on the banks of the Crana River. It is now a community, cultural and hostel centre. The nearest restaurant is also located here, and is well worth a visit.
The town has a modern, fully equipped Leisure Centre complete with heated indoor swimming pool. Close to the Leisure Centre, along the seafront walk, a new kids play area with an all-weather surface, has recently been built and this superb free facility can provide hours of entertainment for children of all ages.
For the golf enthusiast there is a small 9 hole course within the town boundary while the 18 hole course at Lisfannon is a short 5 min. drive along the coast.
There is also the world famous Ballyliffin course with its two links some twenty minutes drive to the north. The Crana is probably one of the finest salmon fishing rivers in the northwest and day licences are available from the local angling club.
Walkers will enjoy rambling along the banks of the river, and there is a well laid out path at Swan Park. A spectacular coastal walk can be enjoyed which starts from the old castle bridge and follows a path along the shoreline to Neds Point, Porthaw Beach, Fr Hegartys Rock, and ends at Stragill Beach.
The kitchen and dining area both occupy one large room at the rear, south facing side of the house.
The fully equipped kitchen has contemporary storage units with modern integrated appliances which include. an electric hob, oven and fume extractor, a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, stainless steel sink, microwave, kettle, toaster, a mini hi-fi stereo, and essential crockery, cutlery and cookware.
A separate utility room has the washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, and there is an outside clothes line.
The spacious dining area has a large table with six matching chairs in an American colonial style. There is also a large dresser unit, two matching arm chairs and a wall mounted TV.
The French Doors lead onto a small patio area and a secure fence-enclosed back yard, that could be used as a safe play area for children. There is also a separate garage.
The lounge is just to the left of the main entrance. It is comfortably furnished on a carpeted floor, with large two seat and a three seat sofas, a separate arm chair, a TV sideboard, and occasional side tables.
The traditional fireplace is fitted with an electric heater, and lighting can be adjusted to suit the mood.
Trees lining the banks of the Crana River, which is within a stones throw are visible from front window.
The TV has a DVD which is compatible with the PAL or NTSC format. Perhaps region 1 and 2.
There are four bedrooms to sleep up to nine.
A ground floor bedroom has a Queen size double bed.
The upstairs master has a King size double bed and an en-suite.
The second upstairs bedroom has two double beds.
The third upstairs bedroom has a single bed.
The main ground floor bathroom has a bath, basin, toilet and a separate power shower.
A second upstairs bathroom has a basin, toilet and a separate electric shower.
The en-suite to the master bedroom has a basin, toilet and a separate power shower.

Many thanks for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at Waterchase, Buncrana. The house was really cosy and warm despite the freezing temperatures outside (December 2010). We found the house to be deceptively spacious and well equipped - the kitchen was a joy to work in. The reclining furniture in the living room is a nice touch - very easy to fall asleep in! The kids could watch the tv in the kitchen while the adults were watching their programmes in the living room. Hope to visit again some time in the future. Waterchase - Highly recommended *****
