Woodlands Cottage - Letterkenny

Woodlands Cottage is a traditional cottage located 4km from Letterkenny  - the main town in County Donegal. It lies just off the main  road between Letterkenny and the historic Georgian village of Ramelton. The holiday home is centrally located in Donegal making it an ideal base to explore this wonderful county.

Rural Setting

This cosy cottage  is over 100 years old and has been carefully renovated and refurbished in recent years. The rural setting of the cottage will ensure a peaceful and relaxing holiday.The traditional country roads and hills in the immediate locality are ideal for walkers and for those who want a leisurely stroll amid the beauty of nature.

Accommodation at Woodlands Cottage is designed to provide a comfortable home from home experience. The house is centrally heated and comprises a fully equipped kitchen, a traditional style sitting room with a large solid fuel stove and a living room with an open fireplace  There are three bedrooms - two doubles and a triple( 3 single beds) . The cottage also has a large enclosed garden which is a safe play area for children.

Letterkenny Town

A 5 minute drive brings you into Letterkenny Town. Letterkenny is the main shopping town in Donegal and has a wide range of pubs restaurants and shops to choose from. Other attractions in the immediate Letterkenny locality include an 18 hole Golf course, horse riding, theatre, cinema, pitch and putt, indoor activity centres for children, leisure centre with swimming pool and tennis courts. Two nearby hotels - The Silver Tassie and Castlegrove House - are renowned for their food.

Ramelton

A 10 minute drive from the cottage brings you to the old-world village of Ramelton. Ramelton is one of Irelands heritage towns and still retains much of its original Georgian character. The village has lots to offer -  including a  country market for fresh vegetables, home baking and much more. It has many quaint pubs - the wonderful Bridge Bar is renowned for music while Conway's Pub enables the visitor to take a step back in time

County Donegal

County Donegal as a whole is renowned for its unspoilt beauty, superb blue flag beaches, rugged landscapes and its heritage including the majestic Gleanveagh National Park. With Woodlands Cottage as your base you are never more than an hours drive from any major attraction in the county.

Booking deposit (non-refundable) of euro100 per week - with balance to be paid six weeks prior to the letting period.
