About your guide Sean Mullan<\/h3>\n

Sean is based in the heritage village of Ramelton<\/a> and has an intimate knowledge of the county and it’s topography. He will share this knowledge with you during the 7 day or weekend walking trips.<\/p>\n

The walks will take place in the highlands and headlands of north Donegal, including the landmark mountain Muckish and the magnificent coastal walk along the Fanad Peninsula<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Radharc na Locha is a beautifully restored 2 storey Irish farmhouse with an idyllic setting overlooking Shannagh Lake near the Atlantic shoreline of the Fanad Peninsula in North Donegal.<\/p>\n

Anton’s Cottage is a traditional Donegal farm cottage that has been in the same family since the early 1800s. It is located on a small hillside overlooking the north western coastline of the beautiful Fanad Peninsula.<\/p>\n

The Walks<\/h3>\n

The walks range from easy \u2013 3 to 4 hours over a reasonably flat surface such as Ards Forest Park \u2013 to medium difficult such as Knockalla Mountain and Muckish which involve steep inclines and uneven, soft and boggy surfaces.<\/p>\n

The longest walk \u2013 about 6 hours \u2013 takes us along the coast of the Fanad Peninsula \u2013 here we traverse sandy beaches, grass dunes and rock sculpted by the Atlantic waves. We finish at the Fanad Lighthouse which watches over the entrance to Lough Swilly and the turbulent Atlantic.<\/p>\n
